Works well - finished the project...
I wanted to connect a hard wire from my office PC to our Family room TV, in order to stream from the internet. This little pigtail does a good job of converting the DP output from my HP desktop to HDMI and has enough power to push signal through 25 feet of HDMI cable and through an active 3-way switch to drive the TV. I wish that new TVs had more than 2 HDMI ports - I know that they want me to go wireless, but you have to live with the signal you have.... So far, so good!

Worked great for about 2 weeks
This worked great for about two weeks. I came home yesterday and found my third screen would just say 'no signal'. I tried swapping that screen over to using the straight HDMI connector on the video card and it worked, so it's not the display's fault. The computer still detects what screen this is plugged into (it changes the monitor name to match) so some signal is getting through. Just not enough to get an image or sound.I unfortunately lack a second adapter to rule out the video card failing, but reading reviews about this type of adapter from other companies they generally seem to have as high as a 20% failure rate within a few weeks and I have no reason to suspect the video card right now. Really unacceptable for the price.EDIT: I ended up getting another video card (It was time for an upgrade anyway, this just helped push me over) that doesn't require me to use DisplayPort for >2 screens. I did test it with the new card though and determined it was indeed the adapter that failed, not the old video card.

Perfect for connecting a laptop to a Seiki 4K TV
Before finally buying this adapter (it was listed as out of stock for some time) I wasted about sixty bucks on a different DP->HDMI adapter from Dell and a DP->HDMI cable from Memory Express. Neither of those worked properly with my Seiki 39" 4K TV: Windows only showed 1920x1080 resolutions so I had to manually enter the timings and still could only get 17 Hz (which makes for very "chunky" visuals where the mouse cursor skips instead of gliding and forget about video). This Accell Active Adapter worked immediately: as soon as I activated the monitor it came up in full 3840x2160 resolution at 30 Hz, no tweaking required. I'm very happy with this product.

Of the 3 I bought, 1 is faulty. Those that work are excellent.
I am running a 5760x1080 eyefininty setup for gaming. In order to run games with three monitors you need active display adapters. I am currently using Accell Active VGA dongles for this. I wanted to move up to HDMI so I purchased three of these dongles. I should have bought four. One dongle will not display 1920x1080 (or 1080p) at a frequency higher than 30hz INTERPOLATED. I verified the dongle is broken by testing it in all four ports of my video card, on all three monitors, and another computer with two other monitors just to be sure. The two dongles that did work performed flawlessly.

Works really well! Eyefinity Supported!
I have about 15 of these guys now running multiple displays and with all of the ones I have purchased I have only had 1 bad one. If you are trying to setup a display setup with Eyefinity, you will find out that Eyefinity cards are very picky about what adaptors you use to convert your outputs. I have been using these in setups that have been running videos walls 24/7 for the past year and have not had any signal issues, drops outs, lag or added latency.

Shipping
This item didn't ship for a week after it was ordered. I still do not have this item. A 2 week lead time on a part that shows stock is not acceptable. I ordered 39" TV monitors the same day and will have had them for a week and a half before I can connect them using these adapters.

Bought this to go from 1.4b HDMI to DisplayPort, but it didn't reverse it.
I tried asking around to see if anyone had bought this device with the intention of converting a 1.4b HDMI signal (which can carry 120Hz data) into a DisplayPort. The laptop I use does not have a DisplayPort output, and I was trying to use a 120Hz monitor with that laptop. Before you reply saying HDMI cannot carry a 120Hz signal, stop the hand on your mouse, hit control+t and search HDMI 1.4B. The Lenovo Y400 has a 1.4b output, so I thought I could trick this adapter into delivering 120Hz from the HDMI to DisplayPort. Unfortunately, it cannot do this. I'm giving it a 3/5 because it does what it says it will do, but it was impossible to get a response from the company or other reviewers regarding this information.

The Only Way to Fly with Seiki UHD!
Agree with everyone else - the magic component that makes Seiki 39" UHD TV work correctly with my computer. Get all resolutions & refresh rates; no more TV blackout episodes. You also need top-rated HDMI 1.4 or better cable. This adapter didn't give good results until I also replaced the HDMI cable. Similarly, the old adapter didn't work well even with KabelDirekt HDMI cable.
