Nice scanner with nice add on options.
Purchased this scanner for home use on my personal vehicle fleet, as well as family and friend vehicles as well. Basicly I went for the most optioned out scanner between autel and a few other brands within my price range. This scan tool definitely was the best bang for the buck, and I liked that a boriscope and battery load tester were option pieces. I do have the boriscope, and Its a quality piece that I would consider a mandatory add on, and it is cheaper than buying a seperate component to do the same thing. The battery load tester is definitely the next add on for me. All in all a nice and powerful scanner for the dollar spent.

Must-have scanner
It's been almost a month since I got the mk808k-bt scanner, and it really makes my work much easier, I'm no expertmechanic, but this tool has seriously wowed me with its strong features and quick speed. This mk808k-bt tool handles a bunch of different vehicles, letting me easily check codes and use special functions acrossall sorts of makes and models. And the Bluetooth connection just makes diagnosing stuff a breeze. What really gets me is how solid this thing feels. I feel like i can rely on it for the long haul. Out of all the scanners I've tried.the mk808k-bt has really set a high bar, showing it's a pro-level tool for diagnosing.Overall, the scanner has gone beyond what i was hoping for, It's become a must-have in my toolbox, and I'd totally recommend it to anyone after a reliable, full-featured diagnostic solution.

Good value for the price
For the price it did everything I thought it would. Took a little while to figure how to update the database and finally had to call customer support. The memory card shipped with it was 4 gig and it is not big enough to fit all the updates on it. Had to buy a larger memory card to fit the updates on it. No battery in the unit but powers up fine when plugged into the car. It reads more codes and modules than any hand held scanner I've had. The software is little cluncky but does work fine. I wish it had scaling on the graph functions, they are auto scale and are a little annoying trying to watch the graphs while the scale is changing all the time. There may be a way to change it to manual scale but I don't know how. Some of the things I have used it for so far - 1) troubleshoot the transmission on my daughters 2000 mazda 626, recorded the gear requested and actuall gear. 2) troubleshoot a bad wire on the Mass Air flow sensor on my friends Ford 500, recorded the MAF while driving. 3) Troubleshoot the air doors on my 2004 tahoe, three times. 4) Troubleshoot the automatic transfer case on the tahoe. 5) checked codes on 2006 impala SS. 6) Found the burned out light on a Dodge Ram pickup (Dodge has a message on the dash that tells the driver a light is out, doesn't say which one but the scanner does tell which one).

I am more than impressed with what this little tool can do for the price. I was able to do variant coding on a W212 Mercedes, Airmatic calibration and it still had a lot of other useful features( it was able to access all of the 46 modules installed on the Merc).I also used it on a BMW, Toyota Sienna and a Ford Ranger truck and it was able to access all of the modules there as well, perform live tests, actuations, adaptations ( I saw the option to perform shift adaptations on the Mercedes but I haven't tried it yet) and resetting to default values where applicable. One cool thing I like about it is the ability to perform graphing ( to a limited extent - not oscilloscope detail but still on par with equivalent but more expensive tools on the market like SnapOn or Matco). The not so great parts would be the other, non diagnostic related functions like:1) Email sharing of the diagnostic files ( they have an embedded app but it doesn't work with yahoo or gmail servers - I got around it by downloading the yahoo app and using that one to send files to my computer)2)The tutorial section ( it's pretty much non existent and for the most part doesn't even connect to the Autel servers)3) The complete lack of wiring diagrams and any sort of schematics.Overall this is a great tool to have around for working on your car, pre purchase inspections and helping out friends. It's biggest plus in my opinion is it's price, none of the competitors can even get close to it price wise.Keep in mind that you have to update frequently to be able to work with modules in newer vehicles. Out of the box it has a 1 year free subscription included, after that if you want to update it you have to pay around 600$ per year.

Great scanner, awesome value
The autel MK808K-BT SCANNER is a great scanner for the dyi mechanic. it's a bit over whelming at first having only used simple code readers in the past but spending just a few hours it's really quite user friendly. Just the ability to be able to do rear brake jobs on the newer cars with electronic Ebrakes and to properly bleed brakes with abs is worth the money by itself. This reader/computer does much much more. I can't imagine the need for anything more. The ability to have full functionality without a subscription cost is one of the main reasons to consider a unit from autel. Very happy with my purchase.

Worked great on 2018 Land Rover Discovery 3.0 Diesel
I got an engine will shut down not start in 250 miles code with sets off a bunch of other codes.Cleaned the DEF injector which was 50% plugged and ended up replacing the injector as the old one failed. That still didn’t get rid of the code and was now down to 180 miles before engine no start.I had the Carly app and scanner but that doesn’t work on my LR and read a lot about the Autel and many mechanics that use it, even one guy in England that has fixed this issue in hundreds of LR diesels as they are more common there than in North America. After quite a a few attempts I finally figured out how to clear the code, it wasn’t a direct code clear but was able to get it done. Works great even on clearing on my wife’s 2017 Porsche Cyan the oil code that was told only can be done by Porsche
