more bulbs and innovation like this please
This is a great light bulb. It's small! The base is a standard size of course, but I'd say the bulb part is 2/3 the size of a normal bulb, maybe less. Way smaller than the twisting curls of a CFL. My bulb measures 3.5" tall, ~1 7/8" diameter and 88 grams. That makes it shorter and heavier than listed in this product description. This bulb will fit anywhere.10W for 1000 lumens is possibly the best efficiency on the market. It's definitely a 75W replacement though. 75W incandescents have 1100 lumen output and 100Ws around 1600 lumen. By the look of it, 1000 lumen is accurate as well as the 2700K color temp. Mercury free is awesome. It has a plastic shell. Doesn't hum. With liquid inside, it's heavier than incandescent, CFL and probably other LED bulbs (depending on their heat sinks). Certainly for the diminutive size, the weight is surprising though in practice irrelevant.I do wonder about reliability simply from rough edges in other aspects. I get the impression that this is an early stage company. Their website is kludgey and lacks detailed product information. The packaging is unpolished; the box is a glossy texture with one side in French and the other three sides pasted over with matte labels (and two typos). I'm guessing it's packaging for sale in Canada. The bulb itself has a light oily coating. Growing pains of a new company? At $20 a piece (not unreasonable), I'll see how this bulb holds up for a while. The comparison photo here is an 800 lumen/9.5W Belkin Wemo, the Sunasu, and a 470 lumen/5W Nanoleaf Gem. The other two are normal-sized not giants ;)

After only two months normal use, it is starting to go bad.
I love the shape, size, and light output of this bulb. But today, every time I turn it on, it flickers and acts like it might not come on at all. I paid $20 for this on June 22, 2017, and no way should it be starting to burn out. It is in a good quality ceiling fixture operated by a simple on/off switch (that is, no dimmer, etc.), and is only burning 4-6 hours per day. I should get many years out of this bulb. I am very disappointed.

After 11 months of ownership and use, the bulb ...
After 11 months of ownership and use, the bulb started flickering and dimming. When I went to remove it, the outer surface was oily and slippery. Can't seem to find manufacturer contact information anywhere.

Love the bulb
Love the bulb, it has a great color and stays nice and cool. Now I don't have to worry about the lamp being left on all day.

but I have been using it for a number of months now with great success.
It really works well. The bulb gets very hot, but I have been using it for a number of months now with great success.Update, after a couple years of occasional use, the bulb no longer works.

Awesome quirkly little light
I wasn't sure what to expect when I received this bulb. Its design is somewhat unusual. It is just as small as it looks in the picture, but fits standard light sockets. It is heavier than a normal bulb, due to the liquid inside. Similar weight to an LED bulb with heatsink and electronics and a thick plastic diffuser. Maybe slightly lighter. It seems to be of quality construction. No solder at the base, just stamped and sealed plastic and metal.Compared directly to a 9.5w CREE bulb, it seems to be on par with intensity and color. It is somewhat brighter though it's hard to tell just how much. It is rather pleasing. It does not flicker. When shut off, it stays very dimly illuminated for a time. I almost thought the fluid was glow-in-the-dark, but my UV light stimulated no light production. The lack of a heatsink on the base is a clear advantage over most other LED bulbs as it allows a more similar radiation pattern for the light. I assume the liquid instead acts as a medium to carry heat directly from the LEDs to the surface of the bulb. With more surface area I expect it is adequate at removing heat, though I suspect that due to the greater mass of water and the much higher specific heat of water, it can maintain thermal equilibrium as well without getting painfully hot as do aluminum heatsinks. While nothing is mentioned either on the box or in the listing about its dimming capabilities, I tested it. At low power settings in my lamp, it maintains a single intensity. At maximum power, it flickered rapidly. It does not dim. As this was not claimed to be a dimming bulb, I do not find any fault with it - I just wanted to check and add some information. All around, this quirky little bulb is really excellent.I received this bulb at a discounted rate in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.
