Well-Designed, Well-Priced, Could Be a Bit Better
I really liked this set of lights when I got them, but I recently slipped and fell on some wet pavement (while riding), and the clamp for the flashlight broke in a few different ways. I don't believe that it hit the pavement (it was not on my handlebar but in a protected place on the bike stem), but the flashlight broke from its plastic piece and the hinge that allows for some rotation on the plastic piece broke a little as well.I really did like the construction of the clamps as it seemed that some thought went into their making, but now that I look at the construction the flashlight does seem a little heavy for its plastic piece overall. I thought that maybe rather than having some screws holding the plastic to the flashlight, it would be better to have 2-3 plastic hoops to secure it with, since the flashlight is so heavy and since plastic on metal bonds or encasings almost never last. This design would be much more secure and rigorous and not affect the functionality at all.Anyway, 4 stars because it broke so quickly. I know it likely couldn't have been helped and overall is an excellent product, but it could easily be a little bit better.

Great Set, Great Price and wonderful customer service!
Given the price I wasn't sure what to expect, but when I opened the box I was plesantly surprised. Not only was the quality of the light much better than I expected, but there were also several "attention to detail" features like the ability to adjust the angle of the light from right to left among other things. The front light is very well made. It has a metal body and a fixed slide that allows it to quickly slide into and out of the handle bar mount. The light holds tight in the mount when locked in and doesn't move or bounce once set. I really like the fact that I can quickly remove the light and use it as a flashlight if I need to, or take it off when I park my bike so it doesn't get stolen. The light is fairly bright with a good diffusion pattern. When riding at night, I can angle the light off of the front wheel and ti will illuminate from about a foot and a half off the front wheel out to about 10-12 feet pretty well. I will say that while it illuminates the road and is bright enough to ride by (I've got about 100 miles using the light at night) its not quite bright enough to make me comfortable on rough roads, I'd like it to be a little brighter. The mount itself is well made and has nice removable rubber grips. It has a nice finger screw and does a good job of holding the light in place. The back light is my favorite by far. The light pattern can be adjusted from a police light style flashing to a solid light, and does a really good job of grabbing attention. My favorite part by far is that it has a mount to lock it on a seatpost, but also has a clip that allows me to clip it to the back of a saddle bag.The negatives are few, but I'll mention them as they may be relevant. The light being all metal is pretty heavy. Personally if I'm riding at night I'm less concerned about the weigh of the light and more with my ability to not die. If your a weight weenie I'm sure you can find a nice and light $100-200 set to meet your needs (obsession). However for the average rider, this set is great. The other issue is that if you have thicker handle bars, the screw on the mount is not long enough to reach so it can't be secured. This is where the manufacturer showed just how good their customer service was. As soon as I let them know my issue, they shipped me a longer screw that worked perfectly and arrived quickly. My understanding is that the lights are now shipping standard with the longer screw, however , if you don't get it or have issues I would definitely contact the manufacturer before returning because they are incredible to work with.Overall this is a great light for a great price!

Veryhappy with the front light and the tail light - both "strobe" excellently - great pricing for functionality
I am happy with the front light and the tail light - both are great - it took a couple of minutes to figure outhow to detach and re-attach both lights but now it is not an issue at all.The pricing was excellent considering the great functionality - good value - just having the ability to detach and re-attach was important. The strobe function on both the front and back lights work great and the lights are quite bright and alert others that you are on the road. I tested the battery compartment openings of both lights and the compartments themselves seem solid and the battery compartment "case" seems to re-attach quite solidly it seems. There are so many overpriced lighting sets out there that don't seem to have any more functionality than this set - and some definitely have less - ie some have a rubber band type attachments for the light - and who wants that kind of mickey mouse way of attaching the lights? I wanted a strong flashing white front strobing white headlight and a good strobing seat post mounted tail light that are easily detachable and re-attachable and got both in the same package at a great price.Re front light: I don't rely on the front light totally for extensive night time riding - I don't rely on it for total illumination on pitch black paths or unlighted streets - there are probably brighter higher lumen lights out there for the serious night time rider - but the front light dids help light the way in the few times I have ended up riding home in the dark on semi-lighted dedicated bike paths with periodic street lights. And for the front light the battery saving strobe function in itself provides sufficient illumination. My main reason for wanting the strobe and the front headlight was for its alert function during the day and at say dusk - to warn others I was coming in their direction with the strobe - and the strobe seems good in daytime, which is when I primarily use it. And I ride on dedicated bike paths. I don't ride on bike paths that are painted on the side of roads next to where cars travel. I don't trust idiot teenage drivers and distracted texters and rushing mothers picking up their kids from school, etc. Frankly, I do NOT ride on roads PERIOD. Given the quality of teenage and distracted drivers these days, who would ride a bike on a road these days, sharing it with cars driven by kids obsessed with their smart phones. It is nuts. I take my mountain bike on either fire roads or on a dedicated separate bike path away from the road used by cars. So this lighting system along with some other flashing lights I have helps warn others that I'm coming. And so far so good!
