Nextplay NR695SD Voice Activated Alarm Clock + AM/FM Radio - White

I got this clock today & it's everything that I wanted! Fm/Am radio, AUX input, loud alarm too! It's great for the price....I'd buy another one if I needed it.

I like the clock and it.s voice activation feature, even though it doesn't always recognize what you are saying and you have to repeat yourself. As others have mentioned, the display is very bright, even on the lowest setting. I got around that by getting a $1.99 smartphone privacy screen and cut it to fit the display. For the price paid, it is a good value.

I bought this clock as a Christmas gift for my husband. He's a fan of fun gadgets and he needed a new alarm clock so I thought, why not? The voice activation works very well and is a very cool feature. The back light, however, is entirely too bright and we had to send the clock back! Very bummed. I read that there was a dimmer option for 3 different levels so I thought it wouldn't be an issue. The 3 "different" levels are all identical though and it doesn't dim the back light AT ALL. Our bedroom is usually very, very dark but this clock make it seem like we have a small lamp on and that's a no-no. Back it goes and the search for a new alarm clock continues...

This is a nice idea, but the thing can't keep time. It gains about 5 minutes a week. I like the big digits, yet it is small and unobtrusive. But it is very annoying to have to reset the time so often. Sure, you say, I can tell it to set the time. But I never seem to have the correct commands necessary to make that happen. It didn't cost a lot of money, so I'm just writing this off to a learning experience.

I am a blind guy, OK? And, I have been looking for a talking alarm clock. Preferably one with a radio, so I don't have to wake up to some obnoxious noise. Most of these cost between 50 to 90 dollars, and I am not made of money. Well, I came across this one here on Amazon, and it was only 16.95 or something like that. So I bought it, thinking that it might not have all of the features, but it will probably work OK. I get this thing, set it up, you can set the time and alarm by way of voice commands, and I had the time correct, and the alarm was set for 6:00 AM just as I wanted. On the first morning, it woke me up at 7:00 AM, so I checked the alarm, it said it was set for 6:00 AM. The next morning, not changing anything, it woke me up at 5:00 AM. I tried setting it different ways, like an hour later or earlier than I actually wanted to wake up, but It never did go off at the right time. Not to mention that theRadio reception sucked. Naturally, a return.

It works well but instructions are kind of confusing

I love the look of this clock, the light is a little bright at night but I just turn it around and it doesn't bother me. The voice activation works well, it's not the best but that's to be expected for the price. It understands what I'm saying 90% of the time, I have to repeat myself and speak very clearly sometimes.
