Sioux Chief Chief-972-361PK2 972-361PK2 Smart Spout and Adapter Kit

My husband and I spent a ton of money on a pretty faucet fixture for a bathroom remodel, but it was impossible to install. So we went back to the store and bought another set to get the spout from the set, which matched the previous one. Again, impossible to install properly even after watching many YouTube videos and looking through all the manufacturers instructions and videos. Finally, my husband got online and ordered this one. DUUUUUHHHHH! Wish we'd done this from the very start. We spent 3 days messing with the others. When this one came in the mail, we went in and popped it right on. NO HASSEL!! We're getting one for the other bathroom now.

This is a fantastic product. I've purchased Kohler, American Standard, Moen, and Delta Spouts and none of them have a good way of attaching the spout to the copper pipe. This product provides an apparatus to securely attach and join the spout to the copper pipe and allows the installer to tighten the spout so that it pulls the spout towards the wall. All other spouts do not allow for a tight connection to the wall. A+++ I'll never purchase another spout from any other manufacture.

This was fantastic. I followed the directions and repaired my tub is no time flat. I work at a career and technology center and I took the Sioux over to our carpentry instructor to see if he had heard about this smart spout. He had never heard of it and was thankful for the info. Highly recommended for anyone.

I think this is a fantastic improvement over those threaded ones. I have had such terrible luck with the regular ones with adapters and set screws and such. This was so easy to install, and it fits and works well.

This is the best solution for replacing a tub spout especially if remodeling tub enclosure.

I was impressed by the video which showed how easy this should have been to install.Unfortunately I was unable to use this because the extender copper tube included did nor fit insidemy water line because the water line copper tubing was thicker with a narrower diameter.Maybe I missed it but there should be a 2nd option for narrower water lines..I would have given this 5 stars because it was way better constructed and easier to install than anyof the replacements I purchased at the big box stores.

Let me be honest up front and say I never got this to work. However, I think that is all my fault and no fault of the product or company. I purchased this and used the glue to extend my copper pipe, cut of the extra amount, then put the spout on. It was great, until I diverted to shower. Then it works fine but there is a drain hole on the wall end and I had a small trickle of water coming out of it. I tried to figure out why and failed so I contacted the company (Sioux Chief) to see if there were known causes. They were very kind and patient and after having me try a few things they offered to send me a no cost replacement if I would send them back mine so they could look for possible manufacturing issues. I got the new one and added a second pipe extension to my prior pipe extension. It was then that I noticed I had not got a good seal with the "glue" the first time. Not a problem with the glue, because my 2nd glue holds well. In fact it all holds well, until I put my finger over the pipe to force diversion to the shower head. Then my self caused leak becomes apparent. Now I must decide how I want to handle this (which is probably getting a real plumber to replace my inadequate skills). The spout seems to work fine, hold under pressure, and looks great. We are using it, with the leak, until I get a plumber in to fix me mistakes.
