This was purchased for my husband's (italian) birthday. I wanted him to enjoy the flavors of his heritage. We were quite surprised and pleased that these little tins of tuna salad were so yummy. The cost is prohibitive except for special occasions/treats. I will buy again for next years birthday.

I found these Rio mare Insalatissima tuna salads while living abroad and fell in love. Rio Mare makes other types of these tuna salads, but the Insalatissima Mexican Tuna Salad was always my favorite. Because these must be imported, they are a bit pricey, but a tasty, heathy addition to the lunch menu.

Best tuna in a can money can buy..

I am and always have been a huge fan of Rio Mare tuna ever since I was a kid. Finding it in the US hasn’t always been easy. I was so happy to find it on Amazon and I was intrigued by Insalatissime. I had never heard of it.I bought it because when I’m too tired to cook for myself it’s a convenient and healthy prepared meal. I’m chronically ill and cooking isn’t always an option but I do try to always eat healthy foods.The flavor is ok, not outstanding. It’s a bit sweet for my taste and it seems that glucose syrup is an ingredient. Not sure why. It would be perfect without the sweetness. I add my own Italian dressing over the top because I feel it needs an extra kick. Many people have mentioned that there’s not enough tuna. I can understand why they’d feel that way but for me, it’s just the right amount. I’m overall very happy with this and will definitely buy more! Thank you Rio Mare!

I loved that I could buy this product in the U.S. It was a staple food for me while on active duty in Germany and Italy. Buy it for nostalgia and expect to pay a bit more than you would for U.S. tuna fish.

I ate one of these last night. Don't let the small size fool you. I could not eat it all.It is a little higher in sodium than I usually eat. But it was very good.

I always order this Tuna but tonight when I was eating I found some plastic strips very thin.Was really awful.I am never going to order this product again
