Great Tool
This Kebtek pruner is just incredible. This is my first cordless pruner though for years I have used ratchet type manual pruners. I developed tendonitis about 15 years ago from pruning mainly 15 fruit trees here at home with manual type pruners. Try as I may the tendonitis won't go away so this year I decided to try a battery powered type pruner and hopefully give myself a break. I did a fair amount of reading reviews and watching videos here on Amazon with different pruners and decided to go with this Kebtek based on reviews but more important to me was its weight factor which is 1lb 15oz with the battery installed. Being under 2 lbs I could use it all day non stop. Next with its size I knew it would be easily manueverable up in trees, the battery holds an incredibly long charge. I easily pruned 7 fruit trees that I had let go the previous year with the first battery and in probably 1/3 the time it would have taken with my manual pruners. Keep in mind you get 2 batteries, a charger, and a great case come with the Kebtek. 90% of what I pruned was 3/4" but I did cut branches here and there that were 1 and 1/4" in diameter with no problem. The Kebtek is a by-pass type as opposed to an anvil type pruner. Simple to use but it can be dangerous. READ THE DIRECTIONS. ABOVE ALL PAY ATTENTION AND KEEP YOUR FREE HAND AWAY FROM THE TOOL AT ALL TIMES. MAKE NO MISTAKE THIS IS A SERIOUS TOOL NOT A TOY. The following was not in the manual. I wanted the blades closed when I put the tool away to better protect the blade edges and an Amazon user told me how to do it. To close the blades when you are done, hold the trigger down until you hear a beep keep holding the trigger a couple seconds longer and you will hear a short second beeping sound, remove your finger from the trigger and the blades should remain closed. Always remove the battery before leaving the tool so as to prevent someone activating the tool and getting hurt. The Kebtek is a great tool and the quality standard is impressive. I bought the Kebtek here at Amazon. I was not reimbursed in any way for my review.

What a great tool
We run a small organic market garden farm and this is made more difficult by our age. My wife has fairly severe arthritis in her hands and pruning is progreesively worse on her hands as the years tick by. I figured out a solution, buy an electric pruner, and began researching things. After looking at every option I decided on this particular trimmer based on the reviews, low cost, and YouTube video reviews. It costs a bit more than others in the lower end, but so far this thing has been a very good deal. Today we went out and did our fruit trees and the thing took the project down to just a few hours. The cuts are cleaner and we got the job done a bit closer than usual since we could cut closer to the pruning ring without as much effort. Normally we'd take a few days to finish the trees. I tried it on some bamboo I have in pots and it sliced right through a three quarter inch stalk cleanly and without any hesitation. Normally I'd need to get my reciprocating saw and fine tooth blade out to cut the stuff. The battery doesn't seem to have been used and it has me wondering how much juice is left in the first battery, but the kit came with two batteries so it seems there's little reason to worry. This is a great little tool and well worth the money.

Excellent tool greatly eases trimming of shrubs
This electric pruning clipper is compact, well balanced, and easy to handle. It fits very comfortably in the hand for both myself and my wife. The blades operate quickly and with enough power to easily cut through branches up to about an inch in diameter. It operates for a long time on a battery charge. The clipper comes with two batteries, a charger that can charge both at once, tools for changing blades, and a nice case. My wife and I both have some arthritis in our hands, and our hands aren’t as strong as when we were younger. This clipper makes it possible for us to painlessly and quickly trim our shrubs and small trees. It’s a great tool.

Excellent Pruning Shears
These are excellent pruning shears that cut through branches like butter. The batteries are a nice size, and they hold enough power for long use. They do the job that I want. They are relatively light and maneuverable, and they are my good-to tool when trying to trim trees, bushes, etc. I start with these, and all my other tools, saws and etc., support these (cutting branches bigger than an inch). You can only get these from Chinese manufacturers. So far, American manufacturers haven't made anything like this. My guess is that they are afraid of the liability of creating a tool that could trim fingers just as well as branches. When I use them, I am very conscious of where my fingers are before I pull the trigger. My wife won't use them because she is scared of them. But they have a good trigger guard. Your operating hand is never in danger. I take the battery out before touching the blades. And when not in use, the blades are closed with the battery out. With a little common sense, these are the right tool for the right job.

Worth. Every. Single. Penny!!!
My little Kebtex pruner is THE best power tool I've ever owned. Lightweight, easy to use, loooooonnnggg battery life (and it comes with 2 so you can work as long as you want to.) I bought a house in 2024 that had 8 overgrown 10-12' shrubs which wanted to be smaller and less leggy and had shocking amounts of dead twigs and branches from being pruned into big balls. They have all been pruned back into shape and I've cleaned up 4 large, fallen branches from an old Thundercloud purple plum tree with just this tool and a reciprocating saw. It makes short work of anything 1" or smaller just as it promises. I've had this pruner for almost a year now, and use it at least 3 times a week. It makes short work of everything small enough for its powerful little jaws to cut, but it's highly manuverable so easy to get into tight spaces and work on delicate plants. It's super easy to clean up with mild soap and water, and I haven't even had to change to the extra blade it comes with yet! It's comfortable to hold for a long time, makes clean cuts and turns itself off if you set it down and walk away. I have no idea how long it will last, but from what I've already put it through, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one when this one quits. It has saved me hundreds, (maybe thousands!) of dollars in arborists pruning costs, and allows me to work slowly so I can make the correct cuts to bring the plants in the yard back to their natural beauty.

Good shear - poor/terrible lubricating & other instructions
10/26/23 Their customer services responded very courteously and offered a refund. I am keeping the product- so far it seems to work really well. I'm giving it another star. 8/19/23 I just got it, and cut a few branches which worked fine. It's light weight- some of these are heavy. I think I will like it in use a lot *if* it holds up, and it seems sturdy. BUT - the lubricating instructions are almost useless- they reference a port but where is it? Actually, it looks like an axle or small shaft. The video referenced in the manual is no longer there. The videos in Youtube (by searching youtube) are hard to follow- you end up with a drop of oil sitting on the place it appears you're supposed to put it- they don't say you need to push down on the shiny center. And if you push with the oiler, oil keeps coming out and pooling on top. Be sure to wipe up the extra oil or it will get all over the case. A small pic like the one I uploaded would help greatly. I really want to like this, but the instructions are so poor I've wasted much time. I'm guessing a fair number will fail due to not being lubricated.

16.8V Kebtek shears
I bought one at first. After a couple weeks of use, I bought TWO more for my brothers. It cut through branches up to 1.2" or even 1.5" thick with ease. I am impressive with the power and battery life of 16.8V Kebtek tool, it lasts for several hours of continuous use. The tools are very easy to use. This electric pruning shears is require less effort than manual tools so I can work for a long period of time.

This was a good purchase
Best tool ever! We have spend one season together and I always seem to be reaching for it. It holds a charge for a very long time and the second battery allows you to keep going. Cuts well - I use it mainly on shrubs and the smaller branches of the Redbud. It's a good fit for my hand and is comfortable to hold for a long time. The cost is right in the middle of the others. Not sure how to put it to bed for the winter and trying to fit it back into that dandy case. But we'll figure it out.
