X, Vol. 6: 3-in-1 (X (3-in-1 Edition))

And there it is: the last omnibus of X, containing volumes 16, 17 and 18. With a lot of angst, blood, love and THE legendary battle between Subaru and Seishiro, do I need to say more?These omnibusses are really a great addition to your collection: in the original format, reading right to left and with beautiful colour images.This new edtion gives me a bit of hope that we finally will get the ending, otherwise why bothering with publishing a new edition? As CLAMP stated that they still have to find a good magazine to publish X in, maybe they skip that part (they are CLAMP!) and publish it directly as the last omnibus.Only time can tell...

What's not to like? Just wish Clamp had been able to finish the series in book form. At least I can watch the TV series that came out later so I'm not wondering what happened in the end. lol

FINAL VOLUME!!! Incredible but be prepared that the series did not finish out in this format.

The series was discontinued up to this book, but it is still a fantastic depiction of my favorite story. For anyone who wants an ending, there is an anime. However, I still prefer the manga.

I'm glad I'll finally be able to finish the series.

The final 3-in-1 edition of X (X/1999) contains volumes 16, 17, and 18.It is rated T+ for older teens (16+) due to violence and adult situations.And so X comes to an end... or not really. This manga came to a sudden end due to issues with the magazine it was being published in and it never got an ending. But there are 5 chapters that were not published in volumes. They were put together in a special Clamp Newtype Platinum magazine (which is now unavailable to buy) *cough* but you can read the chapters online.Even with an open ending, X is an amazing manga. I love how it ties in with other CLAMP manga. Especially Tokyo Babylon as that is one of my favourites. The art is always beautiful and detailed. It doesn't have a particular demographic but I would recommend X to anyone who likes dark stories. Don't be put off by its lack of ending.CLAMP have confirmed that there is an ending and if they ever continued it, it would be 21 volumes in total. We just have to keep on hoping that X will be given a real ending one day.
