MATCO clone?
I cannot tell the difference between this tool and the Matco one. My friend has the Matco one and it is pretty much identical except for Matco has their markings on it. The tool worked perfectly.

Perfect
Install on water pump pulley and tensioner pulley. Tighten slowly (I spent 5 mins) with a 16mm wrench until pin freely slips into tensioner hole. Must have tool for 3.4 Toyota engine.

Go slow.
The tensioner needs a few minutes in between turns. If you go too fast you can ruin the tool or cause the tensioner to leak. And then what's the point? Clever tool though. Kudos to whoever thought of it. If you can afford it though, remove the old tensioner and install a new one instead.

Time saver, great tool, turn VERY SLOWLY with wrench
Works great and well worth the price. Would recommend getting this time savor tool unless you want to completely remove the tensioner to depress it. If you go that route enjoy the nightmare that will be reinstalling the back tensioner bolt. MAKE SURE YOU TURN TOOL VERY SLOWLY with wrench!! If you rush it you will break the tensioner.

Worked perfectly on my 5fvze 3.4l Toyota Tacoma. Didn't realize you have to take belt off first but once I realized that it worked perfectly. Allows you to recycle the timing tensioner without removing it from the truck (probably most painful event during the timing belt change). To use, remove the timing belt, place between the waterpump pulley (yep, that needs to stay until after this job) and the lower idler pulley. Then crank on it using a wrench. Once you get it fairly well extended start jabbing in the hole in the boot with the included pin. Once it slides in you can then loosen the tool. I did have an issue getting the pin back out once the new belt was installed so I used a sledge hammer handle to gently separate the same pulleys again to coax that pin out just a bit. Then remove the hammer and pull the pin to release the tensioner. Love the tool!

Saves time, makes timing belt job much easier.
Excellent tool to compress your hydraulic tensioner pulley. Reasonable Quality.Using this tool is the fastest way to put your timing belt on your Toyota 3.4 V6.Allows you to leave your accessory unit on the block, leave your tensioner unit In place and compress it without having to take them all off. Very cool idea.Buy one. Its totally worth the time you save.

Feels flimsy but gets the job done
It definitely feels flimsy, like I could easily break it with my bare hands. It got the job done though and didn't fall apart.

Okay
Cheap material but its a cheap price compared to bluepoints version, just be careful and use lubrication everytime. For the money I can't complain, it does the job.
