Why am I pleased with this?
The deciding factor in the purchase of this unit is that it can be charged by way of a lightening cord. In my family we all have iphones so we have lightening cords/ chargers around the house, and in both cars. If we travel, and need a power bank, it would be a kick if we forgot to pack a micro USB cord to recharge it, whereas we would certainly have a lightening cord.I did the three charge/discharge initiation when I got the power bank. I recharged it fully, and put it away. Nearly a year later, I checked it and it was still at 97%.This past week my daughter borrowed it. She was going to a dance competition and her iPhone 12pro was just about dead, and she planned to do a lot of videoing. It was a three hour event. She charged her phone, even while videoing. At some time she disconnected it, so she doesn't recall if it went all the way to 100% charged or not, but it easily got her through the night. Despite the fact that she was using her video intensely. When I got it back it was at 79%. I imagine that it would fully recharge a dead iPhone 12 five times.SO... I am pleased with its capacitythat it holds a useful charge for a year or moreand that it has a variety of three input styles, including the iPhone's Lightening cord.

pleasantly surprised
I got this specifically for camping. But before you give me that look... I got it to power those USB string lights and the like. You have to have a number of lights going at once or it'll cut out due to it not sensing enough power draw. It powered these string lights of mine for days and days without issue. For the price, I couldn't have asked for better. Also I didn't have to pull from my much larger power stations (larger overhead to run those).

Not True 40,000mAH, Multimeter Tests Confirms About 30,000mAH
First one arrived dirty, badly scratched up, so used and abused that it was hard to believe so I immediately returned it for a replacement. The replacement came quickly, and it was definitely new this time around.I have several multimeters to check currents of all sorts. After initial drain, testing and repeating my test once again, I've come to the conclusion that this power bank is not 40,000mAH. Its max storage was just under 30,000mAH. I "might've" not mind it so much for the price initially, but soon realized that it costed as much, weighed just as much, and the dimensions were identical my other Amazon 60,000mAH power bank that maxes out to 48,000mAH that has a digital display with a light.

Battery discharges quickly
The battery pack seems to discharge rather quickly even when it’s fully charged. The pack dropped from 100% to 92% after charging my iPhone from 25% to 35%.
