Surprising, Pleasant, Well-done
When I received the projector, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. Part of me expected something cheap and simple. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find the product was very carefully packed, with high-end touches, even so far as to sleeve the individual components in protective film and all set in the secure foam, so I had a positive impression from the moment I opened the box. Please note that the remote does NOT come shipped with batteries, so you'll need to supply your own AAA batteries for the remote.Actual operation of the device is pretty straightforward. There's a switch that lets you go between on, off and auto/music. The music setting is fun to play around with, and while I myself don't have much occasion to use it, I can see it blending really well with other lighting effects at parties, or being a good 'dance party' option for a kid's celebration for a parent on a budget. The projector itself has two parts: a diffused green laser which forms the 'stars' of the projection (which is independently toggle-able), and a watery animated 'nebula' background, which has multiple color modes that can also be individually toggled and mixed together. My favorite use for this so far has been to help me sleep at night, as the watery effect of the projector with green and blue combined is very relaxing to watch on the wall and ceiling. The projector not only doubles as a bluetooth speaker (can use a USB key with mp3s on it, and be connected to phone over Wifi), but can also be react to music and sound playing in the room as well. Everything from the speed of the LED animations to the color can be adjusted, even the fade time and brightness. If I have any complaint at all, it would simply be nice to have multiple colors of stars as well - the stars are currently only available in green, likely due to the nature of the laser used, and adapting laser light is much more tricky than the LEDs for the 'nebula' projection, so I won't detract any stars for that. And honestly, anyone using this for a celebration or party, your partiers aren't likely going to notice or care, they'll just enjoy the light show.Other useful features are that it can be set to automatically shut off after 1 or 2 hours, great if you're using it as a nightlight for a kid's room, and the entire projector can be pivoted on the base to point at a certain angle, so you aren't limited to just up and down.Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the product. One last thing I would mention though is be careful not to look directly into the laser projector if you can help it. While it doesn't harm (it is a diffused laser after all), it could be uncomfortably bright. I usually turned that off when working close with it to adjust things or setting it up.

Great Light Show! ... Bluetooth thumbs down!
I got this for my 4 year old's room and he LOVES IT!!! The colors are super bright and it definitely makes the room look "out of this world"! I highly recommend this product for your kids room and even better... a game/play room! Go buy it now!!!!Now that I have said the good and that I recommend it, let's talk about the bad. It's not really a deal breaker but would be nice if it was improved.1.) Bluetooth: It did not work for me. I tried and tried and I could not get it to connect to my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8. The instruction were too complicated to set it up. But I don't really mind. It's for my kids room, so I don't need the Bluetooth. But it would be nice if it did work.2.) Controller: There is no On/Off button on the controller (weird). If you want to turn it off, you have to manually turn it off on the device. Or you can use the "Timer" feature, although it only has 1Hr & 2Hr options. No in between, which is a bummer because if I turn this feature on when my son goes to sleep, it will stay on for a minimum of 1hr before it turns off.3.) Brightness: Not much of a Dimmed setting. The lights are really bright (which is good) but I tried to dim it to the lowest setting and it was still way too bright. But my son is ok with it. Again, it would be nice to improve it.I'll say it again... Great item! These negative comments are not deal breakers. I would definitely get the 2.0 version when the improve on it.

Cool, whimsical ambient lighting
First off, let me be upfront and say that Eurpmask gave me the money to buy this item in return for a review. Though, this review is an honest one.I wouldn't have thought to purchase this item without Eurpmask offering it up in exchange for a review, though I am actually really pleased that I own one now. My wife and I tried it out in our family room, bedroom, and ultimately our bathroom that has a vaulted ceiling--no matter the space it transforms the mood of a room and adds beautiful ambient lighting. There are no specific constellations so it isn't educational. Just mood lighting with options of what two colors you'd like to swirl together with the green laser twinkle lights that looks like tiny stars. The reason my wife and I decided to take off a star was three-fold: 1. remote control is not intuitive, 2. maybe it is a button we pressed or maybe it's just how the machine is (will need to find instructions and see) but when you turn on the machine, a robotic woman says very loudly "bluetooth mode enabled" and it scares my wife every single time, 3. and this is the big one: you'll be relaxing in bed and use the remote to turn off the machine, yet when in off mode you constantly hear a "whirring" noise that will drive you batshit crazy. So then you have to drag your sleepy self out of bed to unplug the whole contraption from the wall which defeats the point of a remote control in the first place.Besides those small inconvenient things, the star projector is amazing. My wife and I use it as ambient lighting so we can take relaxing showers in semi darkness at night. It's beautiful to look up at while getting ready for bed. Thanks Eurpmask!
