It's cheap for a reason
I originally bought this item to play games on the ps4. With the other competitive VRs coming out I thought is was cheap for its all-in-one feature. I've done all my tests with hdmi cable through consoles and wifi connection directly through the VR headset, which has its own system.Screen: it's 720p. Forget what it says. That's not true. It plays a little less than 720p making it like 480-720. You do notice the graphic pixelation right away. The screen itself is like holding your smart phone 3 inches away from your eyes. Too blurry? Go to a big screen theatre, like 3D large screen movie theatres. It feels like sitting in the middle row.Console: DOES NOT WORK ON PS4! I have more than one console though. No matter what I've done it did not work on ps4. I do have an Xbox 360, which worked right away by scrolling through the omimo menu. I also tested it through my iPhone hdmi converter and that also works.This doesn't work like other VR screens. I went onto YouTube and searched "VR". All videos that switch to VR splits into 2 screens making the video practically unwatchable.Wifi apps and games: there are games and apps that you can download directly to this device. There's a leap motion sensor in which you ur your head motion to aim. It comes with a controller so you can shoot, which is also your remote control.TL;DR: I'm sure you don't want to read everything so this is what you really should know:1) 720p not 10802) 55m/s lag input. (Xbox360 tested)3) screen is like having 40inches at 2 feet away.It's best used for movies, just that. If you want to play your favorite games like Mirrors Edge, CoD, or even Street Fighter, you'll notice the lag. I play on a gaming monitor at 15m/s, so the jump is huge to this VR device. i did play each game lying on my back connected to the console until the batter was low.It has quite amount of weight on it. I wouldn't recommend playing with this for more than 2 hours as it does cause headaches and neck problems.This device is best with your smartphone to watch movies. It's even better with gaming noise cancelling headphones to make it a theatre feel. It's battery length unplugged is about 2 hours anyways. This is a nice gadget, but joy recommended for gaming purposes.I'm quite disappointed that it can't plug into my ps4, in which I did test it on 3 different ps4s.I'd recommend this device to VR enthusiast or single people.
