Simple and effective
Easily installed on the door sills of my vehicle. Rounded the corners before installing and it looks factory. Has been in place about a week and so far seems to be holding up well. I used a heat gun to help the material stretch over the more complex curve near the rear of the door sills and it worked great. This is a simple and cost-effective way to minimize scratches to the door sills of your vehicle if that is your aim. Adheres well so far, but unknown how long it will hold up.

Great bumper protector on my BMW i3
Using as a bumper protector on my BMW i3 and it's holding up to heat, cold, and car washes. Easy to apply and very forgiving. Absolutely recommend.

It's okay, and kind of works
The surface must be absolutely pristine! I wanted to protect the paint next to my plastic step guard on my pickup, I was starting to see the paint wearing thin right next to that guard getting in and out of the driver's side. I of course washed it off with Windex and dried it, made sure there was no foreign material to hamper it from sticking. It held very well for about 2 weeks, it also worked well for anti-slip in case my foot wasn't fully secured on that foot guard. After the first few weeks, I noticed it started to peel on the edge. Quite possibly water intrusion made the adhesive start to lack in its job.It eventually started to rip and tear, now there are bits and strips leftover where the stickiness did its job well. I have about 18" left, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it? It molds well to the contours of the frame of the vehicle, looks nice when applied. Try it on a brand new vehicle and see if it sticks longer?

Use a heat gun or expect less than stellar results ...
Awesomely tough stuff here, people! Used this on my '05 GMC Sierra 1500 rocker panels after replacing them. This stuff looks OEM and is easy to install if you take your time and do a little prep work. I did both sides, start to finish, in less than an hour - that includes prep time and a Jim Beam Black & Coke, to boot. For a perfect install, order the Kawasaki Heat gun available on Amazon for $23.99. It's a nice piece of kit to have and makes installing this sill guard a breeze. See it here:http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H4I67I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1First, unroll the sill guard inside somewhere warm. Use books, tools, paint can, whatever, to weight it down and straighten it out. Let it sit overnight. You'll be glad you did - the stuff is thick and tightly rolled when it arrives.Next, when you're ready to start, simply wipe down the area you plan to install it on with a clean rag, a smooth one like a piece of t-shirt type material, dowsed with Acetone if you have it handy. If not, Zippo lighter fluid will work just fine. Windex will too, if that's all you have around. Let it dry completely. While the area you cleaned is drying, pop a tape and get your overall length measurement; cut a piece that length. Lay it on the sill and scribe any angle/radius cuts you need to make. Using a sharp pair of scissors cut those angles, etc.Now that you're prepped, whip out that bad boy Heat gun - I prefer using the wide tip on it - and install the sill guard by laying it on the sill and peeling back a few inches of the adhesive cover. Line it up how you want it and put the heat to it. Using your fingers, press the sill guard down firmly and around any contours under it - the heat makes it super pliable and if you heat it too much, it's easy to distort/tear. Once you have that first section down, continue working it the same way until done. Step back and eyeball anywhere you want to reposition it by reheating and reworking it. You'll have an OEM installation when your done.

Heat is your friend!
First, off, I'm extremely impressed with this product. I put this on my new 2025 Dodge Durango. I'm getting the front end of my car wrapped in PPF, but I figured the rockers and inner doors I can handle on my own. As the model car I got is limited edition and one of the last FCA/Stellantis is making; I wanted to make sure my paint will last a long time. Especially fighting the Midwest seasons between rocks, snow, and salt.I made the mistake thinking I could us a slip solution on this project, I recommend only to spray it on your hands or nitrile/latex glove to prevent the adhesive from sticking to you, but not too much otherwise it won't stick to the car until the water evaporates. (Use a baby shampoo and water or buy a premix)More importantly, for absolute best results, clean the area with a microfiber towel and soapy water. Dry and then wipe down with Isopropyl Alcohol until dry to the touch. Then to begin installing your section:Carefully work about a foot or less at a time, sticking the edges where you want, then work your way top down then across in that order. Follow up with a heat gun to stretch and pull into position and smooth. If you don't have a heat gun, this will be very hard to work odd angles and contours. I then cut my edges to their ending points when I was satisfied. You'll have to be patient, especially if your a perfectionist like me. Constantly going back, check for bubbles/wrinkles reheating and then re-stretching. The labor is well worth the result, definitely can tell the thickness will stand up to tough road conditions. All in all well worth the investment!
