Genmai Miso, Organic Soy Bean/Brown Rice 12.1 oz Pkg

I love fermented products, but I admit it took me a while to develop a taste for miso. I had tried many versions and not been happy enough with any to keep using them. Then came a diagnosis of Celiac disease, and I just gave up on them since so many contain gluten.Fast forward a couple of years, and I was trying to incorporate as many vegetarian/vegan dishes into my diet as possible, and I really wanted to make an eggplant dish that included miso and peanut butter. Onto Amazon I went in search of miso. Enter this brand. I first tried the Shiro version (yummy! my favorite one!) and loved it. But it's really mild and sweet and while it's great in many dishes, I wanted one that was a bit more intense, also. And I needed gluten free, of course.And this one is also excellent. We are about to embark on intermittent fasting, and I'll be making miso soup. This product is perfect for that. It's salty and intense but mild enough to not overtake every other flavor.I highly recommend this product. The spout makes it very easy to use, also.

My husband and I have been wanting some good miso ramen since returning from 4 years of living in Japan. But I am recently diagnosed with Celiac, and was sad to discover most miso has gluten in it. Well, this one is gluten free! Happy day! It has a good flavor, not too salty, not to strong, not too mild. I'll be ordering more :) Now I just need a good gluten-free ramen noodle! (although brown rice spaghetti actually made a good substitute for me.)

nice rich flavor, the tube dispenser is easy to use, the miso dilutes nicely before adding it to the pot. I'm a little curious how that is going to work out when the bag is running out, currently 5 star review, but might go to 4 if I can't get every delicious last smidgeon.

The best :D a good amount of miso and its double sealed oolala :D . I love it for soups and dressings, might get creative with sauces one of these days. I am glad I made this healthy choice it will easily become a staple in my restrictive diet home. No gmos Organic :D heck yeah!! I am not sure if this miso is like another I purchased but if so its also really great for your gut fermented foods are the best if unpasteurized so hears toa healthier 2015

Tasted awful!

Genmai Miso was as expected, a good product.However, the miso is in a plastic bag, further wrapped in another plastic bag.The packaging became annoying over time. I prefer a tub, easier to reach the product and not waste anything.
