Here's how to TEST your door latch before ordering a new one!
Our Kenmore washer stopped "spinning" at high speed after the wash cycle would end. We searched online and found a trouble shooting process that showed us how to test each and every process of the total wash cycle. Surprisingly, the spin cycle worked great when in test mode, but would NOT spin after the wash cycle was finished. We found a YT video of a guy that showed how to test the impedance across the two main terminals on the red part, and so we removed the unit and tested it with a little $10 ohmmeter we picked up. Sure enough, it was way out of range. So we ordered a new one, installed it, and VOILA! The washer works as good as new!Removing and replacing the door latch is so easy that my 8 year old can do it, and it takes less than 5 minutes. Just remove the spring tension ring around the big rubber door seal, pull a few inches of the rubber seal out from next to the door latch, remove the 2 door latch screws, reach in your hand and pull it out. There are 3 electrical clips to remove, and each has a different connector, so it's impossible to mix them up. It really IS dummy proof. To see how to test your door latch and determine if it's faulty or not, go to you-tube and search these exact words and name: "how to test frigidaire washer door lock assembly" by "hameed wafa". He shows you how to easily test THIS exact part to determine if it's faulty so you don't have to order the part just to find out it doesn't fix the spin problem. You can pick up a cheap ohmmeter at any hardware store for less than $10.Oh, and the part came very quickly. Very happy buyer right here!

Exactly what I needed to repair my Frigidaire Affinity front loader that was stuck on "Pause" and wouldn't spin!
This part, while the numbers "02" at the end of the part number 01317632 threw me off at first, was the appropriate replacement part. Thanks to the many other reviewers who clarified that the part 01317630202 (which is the number on this one) would work for the part that I took off my washer that controlled the door lock (013176302 was the number on the part that came from my washer), I took the chance and ordered it. It was a matter of unplugging the power cord (please, don't forget this step!), loosening the rubber skirt around the tub, taking out two screws, removing the connectors on the old part and removing it, putting the new part in, connecting the wires, attaching with the two screws to the washer, reattaching the rubber skirt, and plugging it in. The best part was that when I turned it on, the door lock was working again, and I could spin out the stinky water in the tub that was left there during the last spin cycle when the door lock switch assembly quit working! Thanks to YouTube, I found the trouble shooting video for "Affinity Front Load Washer Stuck on Pause, won't Spin", and learned how to do it myself, and the part's availability on Amazon saved me probably $200.00 on service call charges plus a retail-priced part! Thank you, Amazon. Amazing quick ship, and just what I needed!

Good direct replacement for 131763200
The switch is a direct fit/replacement for the original part number 131763200 used in many front loading washing machines, including my Kenmore model 44072. That gives it a five star. Both parts are very similar in appearance, but are made (in Mexico) by different manufacturers. The original switch started to have issues after several years of use: the washer stopped at times, or the locking mechanism inside the switch was buzzing or not locking the door at all.The new replacement worked fine for several washing cycles, then my wife told me that the washer stopped during one of the washing cycles. This issue started to occur more often, to the point of having be nearby and to push-and-hold the door in order to have the machine working, and then to have the machine stop again as soon as let go the door.Had no choice than to replace the new switch with the old one, to be able to use the washing machine in a more consistent and reliable way. When I was removing the "new" switch, a small piece of plastic came off it, through the front opening. That fact that it didn't last long made for two stars to be removed from the rating. However, I still consider the switch to be a good choice as a replacement for the original, even if I got a dud.Hence, I have no other choice than to return it to Amazon.

Second one Worked but still smelled
I'm giving this three stars because of the customer service, otherwise it would be only two. Part received on time and looked perfect. Our old door lock passed an error causing the system not to spin cycle sometimes. The first one was installed and smelled very bad on first use and shortly after failed. The Customer Service was great and they shipped me another part right away! they even verified that I had the correct part for my washer. unfortunately the second one smelled like burning or melted wires as well. The only difference is this one continued to operate. I put my old part back in and used it until it finally would never spin. I put this part back in for the week end as we were desperate. each time it smelled a little less like burning wires. Now it still smells a little but still works. I was worried it would damage the washer or the original wires to the part but after inspecting several times all seems fine. I'm guessing the smell is coming from the solenoid coil.

Works but kinda stinks 😕
Works as advertised, but definitely has some sort of smell coming from it when the machine is running. Not sure how long it will last, it's been about a week. So the 3 stars is for the smell.
