As the years go by, you can be assured that the Alto High Chair will be there for you and your little one at every meal, every celebration, every time you just sit together and share a snack. Made from beautiful European beech, this chair is designed with a curved backrest to support and protect that little growing back and a 5-point restraint to keep your squirming sweetheart safely in place. The design has also been carefully crafted to allow you to easily adjust and readjust the seat, transitioning from a high chair to a regular chair with nine different positions that will support up to 275 lbs. The Alto High Chair is a wonderful blend of stylish and functional. The clean design includes legs that are elegantly crafted without holes for bolts, and the wide arching rear legs provide both stability and beauty. The feet are padded so that you can move the chair around without risking damage to your floor, and the backrest comes with a delightful opening that provides both interest and an easy way to pick the chair up. Our desire is to design both beautiful and safe furniture for your little one, and the Alto High Chair fulfills both of these goals wonderfully. JPMA certified and passing all the standards for US and Canadian high chairs, the Alto High Chair is a safe and secure place to put your little one. Finished with finishes that that are regularly tested to ensure that they exceed the required standards for lead and heavy metals, this well-crafted, beautiful piece is available in Mocacchino, White and Natural.

I like how easy it was to put together
I decided to try this high chair after reading mixed reviews on some of the other wooden "grow with me" type high chairs. Positives: I like how easy it was to put together, and love how easy it cleans up! Negative: The tray. I like using bowls, plates, silicon mats that stick/suction to surfaces because my daughter likes to pick them up and throw them on the floor. The surface of the tray is made of particle board or something different than the rest of the chair and nothing sticks to it. I end up having to put her food directly on the tray to eat, and I worry about moisture warping the wood. I tried to find a plastic tray cover and the only one I could find in Amazon was $155!! I emailed Pali Design Inc. directly asking if they have a plastic cover, and never heard back. The tray also needs to be put on and taken off with two hands. The rest of the wood on the chair is quite slick, which is why it's so easy to clean, but it also makes it easier for the baby to slide into a slouching position, and increases the difficulty in putting the tray on. For this reason, I would not suggest this high chair for children who cannot support themselves in a sitting position. My daughter is 12 months old and I can't yet use this without the tray because she ends up slouching and sliding to one side while seated at the table (yes, I always use the harness, without it she would certainly fall out). All in all I like this high chair, but when you're spending this kind of money for something you expect better quality and functionality.

Broken part...no response from Pali Customer Service
We love this chair. But. After 1 year of use, the clip hinge has broken off the tray. This makes it precarious for our 3 year old as she can push out one side of the tray. I have written an urgent email to Pali Customer Service with all the information and have received no response. Can anyone tell me a better way to get a response or replacement parts?
