The Monster Book of Manga: Girls

This is a huge book. It is also a heavy book due to the high quality paper that is used. The book goes through 9 themes; everyday, fashion, princesses, fantasy, magical girls, professions, sports, festivities, heroines.There are more than 50 projects in here. Each project is a 3-7 pages section where every step is displayed, from the basic sketch lines to the finished drawing. The drawings are beautiful and detailed without looking too complex.This is the best manga book I have ever purchased. There are other "monster" books in this series and they are all of very good quality. Together with "Sketching Manga-style", this is a book that really helps me becoming a better artist !

The Monster Book of Manga; Girls is just what I was looking for. I does seem like a Draw this rather than learn to draw but that is what I was shooting for. Its full color pages and step by step from skeletal structure to volume to full color with details helps add little perks to your work you may not have thought of before taking a good long look at this book. It definitely is helping me get the edge I need to take my comic/manga work to the next level. A great deal for the great quality.

I really enjoy this book because it is packed with beautiful illustrations, both colored and grey-scale. The pages have a nice smooth and thick feel to them. The price is excellent for the high quality of such publication.This is a superb book, However; this is not the best choice for the beginner artist, especially for the child enthusiast. This book may suit you well if you have a basic understanding of the fundamentals in drawing and sketching. I had studied art throughout high school and that was a huge help in developing my skills. I just began drawing the manga style a few months ago and I really enjoy the results. I was running out of ideas and was getting discouraged. I began drawing again the day I received this book! It jump started my creative mind. It helps build coloring combinations and ideas. It also shows many body positions. This book has just about every type of attractive female manga anyone can think of! The book categorizes the type of art by a color code visible from the edge of the pages. There is no index, so you must use your memory and color code to seek your favorite illustrations. None the less, this is a fantastic book!If you enjoy manga and love to draw, this book is for you!

I've enjoyed studying this book. Not good if you can't already draw. I'm a professional artist, and found it challenging in a couple places, but lots of great info.

This book is huge and has lots of examples of different types of females to draw however each eample only gives you about 5 slides on how to do it, 2 of which are usually advanced coloring techniques. I really needed someone to hold my hand wile i'm leaning This kinda throws you into the fire, if your not extremely familiar with wireframe figures your gonna have some difficulty.On the bight side the art in the book is pretty neat and the advanced airbrushing and what not is really cool.I wouldn't get this book if your a newbie. this book is more for the appreciation of the art.

This is a great book for reference on girls and posing girls. It is not a how to draw book It is more advanced than that. If you are already good at drawing this will make you better.

This is one of five books I got that were made by Ikari Studio. This is a must have for those who want to draw lovely ladies in the manga style.

E’ una colorazione ridotta all’essenziale (perlopiù con semplici definizioni di ombre e luci e colori piatti sovrapposti)… per diventare veramente esperti, dovrete rivolgervi altrove. Being an aspiring artist I'll need all the tips and references I can get, and The Monster Book of Manga: Girls definitely helps with that. I would buy another book from this series. Excellent work, but not for beginners.Overall,**** out of *****

A super useful book on drawing manga inspired girls, many say that these types of books aren't really useful, but I say that great drawings and simple drawing tutorials speak volumes as to how to properly learn how to draw manga. with over 300 pages of tutorials and art to be inspired by, I found this a great book and one that I keep referring to often to study the art of manga girls.There are other books in the series which add to the whole manga universe and I highly recommend them to practicing manga artists alike.

Ok, but not enough drawing technic demonstrated.

My Grandaughter was thrilled to receive this book and it has helped to develop her ability to draw these very popular figures. She feels the same about the Boys version. Of course, to create the ridht effects, it is necessary to use the correct pens and I realised this whilst on the site.I had never heard of Manga Art so I value the fact that the sellers description was accurate, leaving me no doubt as to the fact that I was selecting the best product available.
