does it help to prevent rust on tools?

I don’t know. But don’t buy it the oil comes out of everywhere except where it is supposed to.

Does this oil work for scissors?

Yes it will work perfectly for that application.

Can this sewing oil be used on electric fan motor bearings ? Does it have an odor?

I would search Amazon for a synthetic oil. The Liberty brand does have synthetic as well as the regular. Check reviews. I prefer 4.6 or higher. Post a question regarding smell. Most of the oils I have used don’t have a lingering smell. I use most oils in sewing machines and clocks so they have to be highly refined.

Can this be used on piano avtion parts?

Info says sewing machine oil. Can not comment on any other use.
