Very effective for voles
We have an epidemic of extremely destructive voles this year. We had a box of glue boards from two years ago that we got for trapping rattlesnakes (not a success since dirt and dust rendered them ineffective quickly). So we thought we'd try them on the voles. We cut the boards in quarters and put a nail through the non glue edge to anchor them in the dirt by the vole trails. In less than two days we had over 100, in five days 175. We ordered another box which came today and the glue is even stickier (probably since it hasn't had time to dry out). This evening we trapped 41 in less than an hour and a half. Some of the quarter pieces had three voles each. We are very impressed at how well they work, HOWEVER, there are some limitations. Since we are using them outdoors, dirt, dust, grass, and weeds can ruin the sticky surface very quickly (we find that they are only effective for about a day). Also water will both ruin the backing paper and glue surface (our traps are all in small rock gardens). It is a job to police them regularly, and we find that they are most effective early in the morning and around sunset. The glue is also stickier the warmer it is and that helps too. We haven't had a problem with cats getting stuck to them even though they will steal live ones occasionally (this might be a problem if you used the whole board). The cost per vole is small but adds up when you have to use so many.

Great for mice and spiders
Perfect for mice and spiders. Occasionally mice will climb their way off of it, but usually it gets them stuck pretty well. Perfect for if you have a mouse or a spider problem. I use them everywhere.

Good product
This is my second time purchasing this item, it works well. Once something get caught it won’t get off. It’s worth the money!

Dont buy for rats or mice.
Garbage. The rats walked on them and ate the bait and walked right off. They are sticky but only if you push alot of weight on it

Works pretty well on rats
Work pretty well, but our local rats can get off of them, if given enough time, but they do leave a lot of fur behind.

Best Traps I Ever Used!
I noticed an increase of furry creatures and flying cockroaches since they demolished the home across the street. (Ugh. Shuddering as I write.) They took over the condominium unit and we tried everything we could, to get rid of them: wooden spring traps, the black trap boxes that they can crawl into, the electrical boxes that shock them, sticky boards, ultrasonic wall plugs, Bath and Bodyworks mint eucalyptus plugins to deter them... Nothing worked until we started using the Catch Master Heavy Duty Glue Boards. On the first night, we placed the board along a wall (right under the heaters that runs along the wall. We found 4 small mice on one board, the next morning. They were little ones so we knew there had to be more. The next day, we caught another 2 medium sized ones on a board, in the same area. We also caught 2 mice that terrorized our kitchen (there was nothing for them to eat - I seriously think they just liked to run like they're in a playground, squeak, and play tag... or mate. Who knows.) I placed it on the stove. A mouse fell right on it, as it was trying to come out of the space between the stove and oven's lcd panel. They glue was thick enough to make it difficult for the (quite strong) mouse to escape. (It lost some fur in it's attempt to escape). Soon, another mouse fell on top of the same glue board. I haven't caught any roaches with this board, yet. Perhaps the glue is too thick? Oh, and when you're pulling the sheet off the glue board... make sure you're holding it securely and tightly between your fingers. Pull slowly. It's VERY VERY sticky. Like.. you would probably cry if it landed on your plush carpet or very hairy legs as you try to catch it mid air like a soccer ball. It'll take a lot of time plus forever to remove... enough time to think about poor life choices such as why you didn't take your time or hold the board firmly while separating the glue board from the sheet.

Super sticky - good for catching, but be careful when placing
We had previously used the Victor glue boards for mice and crickets. However, due to a rotted crawl space cover, we got rats. The Victor boards were simply not sticky enough - we saw evidence that the rats broke free. We purchased this product, which is definitely much stickier. As a matter of fact, one got stuck to the bottom edge of the refrigerator, and we were not able to pull it loose! Be mindful of your pets when deciding where to place this product. Unfortunately, we did not catch any rats with this product - we finally cleared up the problem with snap traps - but I chalk it up to the fact that rats are rather clever, and recognized this as something dangerous due to their experience with the Victor glue boards.

Want to know what nasties are creeping in/around the house day/night? Put down sticky cards!!!!
We love all CatchMaster sticky cards!!! These larger ones cover more surface area so you end up using fewer cards. For people concerned about their pets…Our cat got one stuck to her foot one time! She avoids them now like the plague!!! Your pet will learn as well! They are non-toxic so they should do no harm! Once you put the cards down at the cracks and crevices near your doors or around your refrigerator or dishwasher and see what nasties they catch, you’ll keep them around your house forever. They snag things we never would have believed were sneaking in and around the house. You’ll be appalled at what you don’t know!!!! The manufacturer needs to change the name…even though the larger ones were intended to capture larger furry nasties, they’re great for any creepy nasty crawling around. The cards will sometimes even catch flying nasties that land on the card. They’re incredibly stick, so keep your hands/fingers on the cardboard edges….or you’ll be stuck. Use Goo-gone to remove the residue when you get stuck. I’ve used goo-gone on socks to remove the adhesive, then launder your clothing!

I have used other Catchmaster sticky traps both inside and out. There is a garter snake issue at our house so I purchased the larger 30R sticky traps. I put two traps out and with in a few hours caught 3 snakes. One day we caught 4 large and small snakes on one sticky trap. Totally worth the money!

Although these glue boards are crazy sticky - I found they lose their adhesion much quicker than the glue trays (which I could not find in bulk). I am using these outside in Tupperware containers to keep them safe from the elements. Small hole, and covered, these never get wet. The glue TRAYS (not this) catch mice each night in the garden, but since moving to these glue BOARDS - not a single mouse!! As other reviewers indicate, the mice walk over the board without issue. That made no sense to me... I assumed others got a bad shipment and I was relieved when I received mine to see how sticky they were. Then I figured out the problem... only good for a day or two in the open air. In the basement, who knows... but I have replaced 20 boards (cut in 2) and not a single mouse (but my bait is gone, LOL). Peanut butter smell is strong. Now when the kids make peanut butter toast, my mind immediately goes to mice. :-/
