Such a great product! I've recently switched to carob from chocolate due to heartburn issues, and this product has been so user-friendly for someone new to the ingredient. I use this every single day in smoothies! It's milled to a fine powder with a texture almost indiscernible from cocoa/cacao powder, making it a perfect 1:1 replacement for those looking to swap out chocolate in their baking recipes. Amazing taste - best described as a slightly sweet, less bitter version of cacao powder - and blends easily and dissolves as expected; a little will cling and clump just like regular cocoa powder. Unbeatable value, since the entire bag is only about $7 and it lasted me almost 6 weeks. And it's Organic, which gives you some peace of mind in terms of product quality. Try using this in low-acid recipes, or for kid's desserts if you don't want them bouncing off the walls (since cacao has natural amounts of caffeine), or if you simply want some extra fiber and luxurious flavor. Odds are most people wouldn't be able to tell it isn't chocolate :)

I use this daily - love it. If you are looking for a good Carob -you found it. I use on Vanilla Frozen Yogurt and blend for shake. By far one of the best brads I have used over the years. I re-order this exact item every month & have been for over a year now. Nice fine powder ( don't vent breath too close to open bag or you will have a cloud of carob in your face), blends well & has a smooth test. There is no bitter after taste and every bag has always been fresh & consistent.

Good taste. Excellent substitute for cocoa powder. No Theobromine in this stuff, unlike chocolate!

I have to limit my caffeine intake because it causes acid reflux and heart palpitations. This is a great alternative that is sort of similar in taste to cocoa. I like this brand for Carob powder and other items that they sell. I have used carob powder with organic coconut milk (the thinner one, not one in can as that is too rich for my liking) and it tastes good, hot. I also have made brownies and other baked goods where the recipe calls for cocoa and used this as a substitute. Not exactly like Cocoa, but kind of similar. I sometimes do half cocoa powder and half Carob Powder or whatever combo of both that I feel like doing at the time. Cocoa is definitely better taste in brownies (for me) but this is really not bad at all, and a combo of both might be a good alternative for some people who might want to try that.

Carob powder is fine, tastes just like it should, and this package is a good value. Problem is, I realized I don't like carob much. I'd rather use cocoa powder. I feel a little guilty about that, given that the chocolate industry is rife with slavery and exploitation.I actually got this for my partner to make nutritional shakes with. She liked it ok at first, but eventually got tired of the thickening properties of carob powder. She preferred her shakes thinner. So, if you're looking for a flavorful thickening agent, carob might be for you. Especially since it's more politically responsible.

Great flavor. Dissolves easily. Pure carob powder. No additives. Tried some other powders and although also good I return to this one because I like the taste the most.

Chocolate protien shakes taste bitter to me. This tastes amazing added to vanilla, and gives me a change. I think this would be a healthier than chocolate milk for kids since it's low in oxalates, and no caffeine.
