I love Dr. Evans and this book is a blessing. It's an easy read and great for a small group setting.

In the book The Power of Knowing God, author and Pastor Tony Evans, writes about how really knowing God can change your life and your view of life. Evans writes: “The pursuit of God is not an ethereal, cloud-nine visit to nevernever land as you play the harp and sing songs. No, the pursuit of knowing and understanding God unlocks all you need to fully live out the victorious kingdom life you were made to fulfill. But one question remains: How bad do you want it?”Evans also writes: “See, a crisis is not just a crisis. It’s never just a crisis. It is an opportunity to experience and know God to a degree and depth that you have never known before.”This is a good, easy to read and understand book on how to know and connect with God better. Losing hope when things get rough, and not trusting God. That is a problem I bet all people have. No matter what their faith. Maybe I am wrong but who doesnt have doubts? The problem is when the doubts overtake us.This book focuses on Christian belief and Bible usage. I found this to be a very real help. Tony speaks in a conversational tone. The book is filled with examples of how to refocus on what God promises. I especially liked the comparison of Jesus having to experience the dirty garage as well as the sunny day. Excellent book,
