Q: How do you fit the m.2 2280 ssd please ? Is there a slot for this or do you have to open the laptop ?

You take out the two screws underneath and you just swop over the existing drive, very easy to do.

Q: want to upgrade to windows 10 (64) pro . I have a unit on order.

It will cost you a win 10 pro licence, but yes you can. It can't be done direct from the upgrade option even though it looks like you can; you must clean install a copy of win 10 pro from an external source

No, the screen is of excellent quality, especially considering the price.

Q: Do i need a product code even though my ubook x came with windows home preloaded?

I don't think so. It should just start up and run Windows.
