Vietnamese for Kids - Learning Vietnamese for Children DVD Set (6 DVDs), Vietnamese flashcards (150 cards)

I really want my kids to learn to speak Vietnamese, so I purchased this with high hopes based on the reviews. The graphics are very random with the main characters being dinosaurs. When you compare these dvd's with other learning dvd's, then it leaves a lot of room for improvement. A better art director and a teaching professional who understand how to cohesively put together a learning tool would be great. I give this 3 stars because I am grateful that there is at least some dvd out there for this purpose. The cost is very overpriced for the quality. I have yet to see if my kids are learning anything from the videos.

I got the DVD set for my son so he can learn Vietnamese. Once we put the DVD on he is pretty much glued to the screen at least half way until he loses interest. I agree with the previous person how the characters and quality of design is not that exciting but other than that the DVDs are a great way for the little one to learn the language. If the quality was more like a Pixar movie, I would totally buy that version. Just saying.

I have a 8 month old daughter that is half Vietnamese and half Caucasian. I wanted her to know how to speak Vietnamese and thought that she might get more out of a learning program in addition to what I can teach her. She hasn't spoken a word yet, but she already loves the videos! As soon as I turn it on, she has the biggest smile and is glued to the screen. I figure, if she is going to watch TV, she might as well get something out of it too!! I highly recommend this product!

Very easy for young children to learn. Fun DVDs. My kids ( 7 and 9 years old) love them. Wish that they have an advanced set. My kids knows all the words in just about two months.

Love this dvd set. Highly recommended for anyone trying to make sure their kids keep on top of a second language.Very cute animation and super educational.

My daughter is half vietnamese so i bought dino lingo to help her reconnect to her roots. My four year old picks up quicker then expected and she pronounces the word clearly! The only reason why I gave a four star is because the characters are kind of boring and she can lose interest quick.
