Wouldn't think of finishing wood without it
Needed to add support to a metal rafter in order to support winch. Installed 10' cedar pole. Used three coats of sanding sealer on surface of pole. All three coats went on in the same day. Drys quickly. The pole was bleeding sap and sanding sealer sealed the sap in. Two coats of polyurethane on top of sanded down sanding sealer. Worked beautifully. Sanding sealer helps insure smooth finish coats. Highly recommended.

Outstanding product
This sanding sealer is excellent. It goes on smooth and dries in about 15 to 30 minutes. It's only used for bare wood and nothing stained. I am able to put on three or four layers and sand in between in one day. Of course it depends on the size of the project. It's my go to sanding sealer.

Raw wood
I’m a cabinet refinisher and I had some clients buy new doors that were raw wood so I needed to put some kind of sealer on them before priming. And this work just great for a water-based sealer.

Good product
I use this to seal mdf and veneers after dying them for paint and clear. I’m not sure if you can use it after staining. It works as it should. Spraying is by far the easiest application, but hand application works too, but you have to sand more if you’re looking for glass smooth gloss. Drying time is super fast, at room temp you can sand after 20min or so, maybe faster in the sun.
