The best-sticking mount I have used, and unfailingly holds large items...but didn't last in the heat
edit 2021-07-22: Last year both of these melted and drooled down the windshield. Two others have posted images of exactly what mine look like. Contacted Maxx, and they promptly send out replacement suction cups at no charge. Cleanup was tedious. I have not put on the new ones yet, because I am not convinced that I won't be doing this again in 2 years, and that is a lot of work. I'd be happy with the mount without the sticky stuff, I think. I have been using a RAM mount for years, and it does fall off in extreme heat. All I do is put it back on, and it stays for weeks. Easy to clean. And for temperatures under maybe 30°C (86°F), I have no problems. I like the Maxx clamp itself, but I see posts for this class of sticky mount that indicate that different products are not handling the heat well. Temperatures are increasing here in the northeast, and we often have 4-5 days of 32°C (90°F) or more. Even parking in the shade is not useful when the air temperature is so high. So I have not decided yet to use the new ones.These are likely the best-sticking mounts I have used. I keep several different kinds of gear in them. For example, I use one to put my Note 4 at my fingertips neat the steering wheel, so that I can see maps easily and so that answering the phone in hands off mode is convenient. I wish that the extension was longer, and the other adjustments a tad more flexible. I've tried several of this class of device, and this is the only one that meets my expectations.

Don’t buy this online go to truck stop
These mounts are the best you can buy but for some reason the one I bought here the suction cup is not sticky but if you buy the exact same one at a truck stop it is and trust me it makes a difference I won’t order another one on here but I would definitely buy again from a truck stop

Great mount!
Holds my Samsung S9 plus great. Stays in place well even through lots of vibrations and bumps. Only thing is the bottom stud interferes with the head phone/audio jack on my phone. No a big deal and I still make it work.

great equipment if you don't get a bad one
I have one of these bought from a truck stop worked great on any surface-This is same one but would not even stick to glass. My guess defective build so 50 percent quality rating on device for me or just who i procured it from.

I am a truck driver and have one in my truck. It holds my phone on all roads no matter how rough. And will not fall off windshield.
