Works Like a Charm
This invention is fantastic! I have two dogs (one being a blue heeler) and two cats - We primarily purchased this to keep our bigger dog off and it does the trick! Cats will be cats, but at least I don't have to worry about as much pet hair or chunks being bitten out of our new couch when left unattended. It is also easy to extend and collapse/put away (we just stash it behind the couch and none of the pets bother it). We found it quite affordable and worth the investment. Would recommend.

AMAZING!
I have two Golden Retriever's. The older one listens and will stay off of the furniture. The younger one is stubborn and does not listen very well. I recently purchase leather couches for my living room and knew that I needed to do something to keep her off the furniture. This was the perfect solution. I ended up purchasing two more sets-one in brown and the other in black. They are now on every couch (3) in my home. This really has been a game changer!

It worked!
Finally an easy way to keep the dog off the couch. Takes seconds to set up and then folds and stores under coffee table easily when we don't need it.

Yo! This works!!
I was coming up with schemes to install fences to keep the dogs away from the couch, but this is so genius bc it's lightweight, folds and tucks away in seconds. I have two dogs and they were so bummed to have lost their couch that I went and bought them thicker dog beds. It's pricey for the design, but honestly the person who cane up with this deserves to be a millionaire, so happy to contribute to that and keep my couch for humans. If you don't have 50 bucks to spend, the basically have a foot sized patch of velcro attached to either end and a thinnish cloth covered rigid material that just tucks into the couch cushions. Could probably make a DIY one for under 15 if you are clever.

Success!
The design of this item is wonderful, the ends tuck between the arms and the cushion to hold it steady. The dog is curious a she and is investigating it but not moving it or knocking it off the couch.

Does the job for us!
Light weight. Easy to extend or collapse at any section of your couch. You can just move it over a little to sit down. In this way it still keeps dogs off of the unoccupied area of the couch. Flexible like a caterpillar - my couch has a 90 degree curve in it. You can either push the ends down into couch or lay the ends kind of over. I thought it would be more like a spring to keep it in place. Glad it ISN’T. Easy to use. Has kept the dogs off so far. I really like it!!

It works!!!
It works! We have three big dogs and we finally got to a breaking point and bought a leather couch. We were really afraid the dogs would go in the couch and scratch it up or even chew on it. Enter the Couch Defender! It opens in one second. Super easy to set up. When we put it away, we just collapse it and slide it under the couch. It resembles a giant slinky. Our days of battling dog hair and all kinds of canine substances on our fabric couch are gone. We can leave the house with the new leather couch knowing dogs will not jump on it.One of my best purchases in the last few years!

It's weird but it works
This thing is awesome. A little pricey for what it is, but totally worth it. I've tried to train my dogs to stay off the couch, but they've already been allowed up there their whole lives and it's really hard to undo that. I can't block off the living room and can't watch them 24/7. I tried couch covers and sheets to keep hair off but it never worked well for many reasons. It's now been weeks since the last time I had to vacuum hair off the couch, and they haven't tried to get past this thing. It's just a tad bit small for our big ole couch so we don't use the side panels to keep it in place since it doesn't reach, but that hasn't been an issue, though it might if you have smarter dogs than I do. When we're using the couch, it's really easy to fold up and shove behind a couch cushion out of sight.
