This is a significant step up from just using oil or butter. It's got some hold, not enough for longer beards but that's where wax comes in. However, wax doesn't have quite as much conditioning oils as this does so I useboth. This is a really good product and personally I enjoy the smell. I've already gone through a couple tins and I don't see myself searching for a different product.

I’ve been using it daily for many years, and it consistently delivers exceptional results.This balm excels in keeping my beard conditioned and manageable. I'm fortunate that I don't have to do much other than brush it and add this balm in. After that, I'm good for the day. Although I'm not a scientist, the natural ingredients not only soften my beard but also nourish my skin, preventing dryness and irritation. It does have a rich, creamy texture that spreads easily and absorbs well without leaving a greasy residue, a feature I deeply appreciate. I'd also say this balm stays throughout the day.It’s evident they prioritize quality, making this product a reliable choice for anyone serious about beard care. Whether just starting your beard journey or maintaining a well-established mane, this balm is worth every penny. I buy it about every couple of months. It’s an investment in your beard’s health and appearance that I wholeheartedly recommend.

I will never turn to another product! I know it may sound exaggerated but I’ve been buying goods from our local Lancaster County Amish community for decades. But I had never given a thought as to how they keep their beards so nice and fresh looking. This is a group that has had beards for centuries! I decided to give it a shot and I’m completely sold! They use all organic ingredients that leaves the beard and my mustache soft and manageable. I use their oil and balm right out of the shower. I few dabs of oil and then the balm while the beard and mustache is damp. I grew a handlebar mustache a few years ago and gave up due to the Daily use of heavy wax to keep it together. Since using these products, my mustache is so manageable that it stays in the handlebar shape all day and there’s no heavy wax or buildup. Let me not forget to mention that I’m in my 1st month of growth and this is the time when the hairs aren’t trained!!! So I can pull out my comb anytime to freshen it up along with the beard with ease! I use their Beard and Body soap for the initial wash, and then the oil followed by the balm. For me it’s been the perfect trio. The bonus for me is the manly woodsy scent it has instead of perfumes.

I like this balm. I was previously using Cremo balm. It didn't seem to do much for taming frizz or conditioning, despite having a far firmer and more waxy feel. The Honest Amish is buttery so you can scoop a little out of the tin with your fingertip and rub it on your palms for a few seconds and it melts to a nice consistency. it applies nice and evenly through a damp, or even dry beard. Finish with a brush or comb and I'm looking good. My beard is softer in just a week and has fewer flyaways. The scent is so subtle that it might as well not even be there. My only complaint is that it can leave an ever-so slightly greasy feel if you're not careful. I know that's the case with most balms but it seems to do so a little more than the Cremo did. A small price to pay for all the other benefits. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. I may experiment with other brands later, but for now I'm very pleased with this.

To be honest I only bought this for one reason.I had searched the vast regions of the interweb looking for a solution to my dilemma! I know you have probably heard of the term “bed head”. That’s where you wake up in the morning and depending on how you slept your hair has been compressed and formed into a wild shape. This can take sometimes hours of volcanic heat from a professional hair dryer and tons of take your pick ( hair gel, spray, Mousse etc). Well my top covering has long gone many winters ago. I now sport a magnificent beautiful bald head. However at a certain age and I’m at it I might add hair in other places develop their own personalities. I do tend to keep a full beard or goatee but this is not what I needed Honest Amish for!You might ask then what does a middle age man with a full beard and bald head need this product for?I will tell you!My right eyebrow! I can wake up some mornings and it will be in strange positions. Sometimes I think it’s trying to hold hands with my upper eyelash honestly! I have trimmed and plucked and tried to use hair products to tame this wild beast with no avail! I suppose I sleep in my right side and this is part of the cause of the problem but now I have a solution!A little dab of Honest Amish and a few gentle strokes and that brow succumbs to my will!Now I don’t have to worry about being that guy in Guardian of the Galaxy! My fears of knocking down people with my wild brow that once poked forward have all be quelled! My wife loves the new look! She asked “did you do something with your beard” and I just smile. It’s honest Amish and my little secret!I find the smell of the product pleasing and its effectiveness. for my needs to be highly satisfying.After using it on that one wild brow I decided to use it on my beard and not thinking much of it beforehand.However looking closely I did not realize how unruly it was. I run some in gently and all those protruding beard hairs laid down like wet grass after a hurricane.I can’t guarantee you that it will work for you but it’s worth a shot if you have had the same problem.Give Honest Amish a try!

Very good for beard. After washing beard dry to damp apply an works works wonders on my 18 inch beard (years) . Also gives a slight shine that people , both men and women, comments of " majestic " look.
