You said you can not see it in the dark at night, but the description it says it is "luminous hands and markers"?

I am a night nurse. I can see the hands (hour and minute hands only) but the markers are very difficult to see and the second hand does not light up at all. Love the watch though. Looks more expensive than it was.

How long does the battery last? does it last for 10 years like some casio watch batteries last?

I haven't had my watch for 10 years (probably more like two), but so far it's still running well on the original battery.

Battery... and it’s IMPOSSIBLE to change. After the battery died, I tried but finally gave up trying to open the back to change the battery. I ended buying a new watch.
