Celebration After Dark (Gansett Island Series Book 14)

OMG!! Marie you have done it again. One week ago was the worst day of my life. I have no memory of it at all. I woke up in a hospital in a horrendous state. I was actually dreading waking up today. Thinking about what had happened to me. And then I turned on my Kindle to find Mac and Linda's story. Something I have wanted since the beginning when I stopped hating Linda who was so horrible to Maddie. Has it really only been less than 5 years since we first went to Gansett Island. So much has happened. And I have NO CLUE how you managed to make this Novella so perfect. Almost all the stories advanced. I cried. I cheered. Ok, I did more than cheer at what happened with David and Daisy. Actually I woke my husband out of a sound sleep at 5:45 in the morning. Screaming YES tends to do that. After he finished having what he called a mini stroke he saw the Kindle and said and I quote "A Marie Force book? You couldn't have warned me it was coming or gone into the other room to read?" That would have taken to long. He knows that you are the only one I pre-order and if he wakes up in the middle of the night and my nose is stuck in my Kindle that you have written another one. Thank you Marie. I SO needed this today. Waiting for Rapturous Quantum Book #4. January 19th. Time to head back to Green Mountain. No more Gansett announced yet. Fatal out next summer and I just read the Quantum Series again while laid up in the hospital. Could you like never sleep? I need more to read.

This is a post from my blog: [...]I loved this book. Linda and Big Mac are the heart of Gansett Island. It was so fun to read about their story even forty years later. They are a couple to want to be like. They are fierce with love and loyal to all of their family and friends. They are the couple you would want to take after.In this book do we not only look back on how Mac and Linda met and fell in love but we get a look into what is going on with the kids. Even though they are adults now and most are married and have some kids but to Mac and Linda they will always be their kids.My heart hurts for Adam and Abby. I hope they can make it through this trying time. I know something is going to happen in the future to where they either adopt or by some miracle they end up pregnant. I just cant wait to find out.Mac and Maddie and Joe and Janie are both in the same boat. Both pregnant and both scared of what this means. For Mac and Maddie after losing the last baby they are worried about it happening again. Joe and Janie are scared of what happened last time happening again. Since her and her baby almost lost their lives I can understand why they are so scared.I am looking forward to reading more about Slim and Erin. I think they would make a good couple. If you have not read this series yet it is a must. This is the kind of book that I love. I love this series, and this book made me cherish it even more. We have all seen Big Mac and Linda as the mom and dad of the McCarthy children. We have all read about the advice that all of the Gansett characters tend to need from them. Now, they get their story. We get to see how Big Mac and Linda became a couple. I smiled, giggled, and cried during this book. I found the book pretty emotional. Not only do we get a view of Big Mac and Linda's past, but we get to celebrate 40 years of marriage. We also catch up with our favorite couples. I do have to say that Mac, whom I love the most, gave me a deeper reason to love his character. His speech was FABULOUS!!!! If you have never read a Gansett book, then maybe you could try this one. I bet you will go purchase the others in the series to see how each couple came to be a couple. Marie gives her character real life problems that they must try to solve. There are multiple points of view in the story. No cliffhanger, but we get a hint that Slim and Erin's story will be next.

I loved, loved, loved this story.It was really great to read about Big Mac and Linda now and when they first met. The early days of the marina, Joann not to mention Ned and Linda's first impressions of Gansett Island itself.And on top of all that (if that wasn't awesome enough!) There was the chance to catch up with Mac and Maddie, Grace and Evan, Adam and Abby, Janey and Joe and Grant and Stepahnie. Which threw up plenty of surprises that made the whole story much more enjoyable.And for me, this is definitely a MUST read for anyone who is a fan of the series, and especially the McCarthys. As you really won't be disappointed.

The McCarthy family never disappoint. Reading Big Mac and Linda's story was great, I always wanted to know how they meet and the way they life begin together. It was a great story. Would have liked a bit more detail after they got married, how their lost their first child, all the rest of the children they had. Building the White House and the kids growing up in it, but it was a novella and you can only put so much in it. It was so nice catching up with all the family and what was happening with them.

I would definitely recommend this series of books, I received the first book free and got completely hooked, so much so I have read all 14 back to back as I couldn't put the books down. I am gutted I now have to wait for the next book release. I love that although you get the main characters story,you also revisit the characters from previous books.

As alway another good read! I can't get enough, the problem I have is you can't write them fast enough, these were the first books I found then went on to read green mountain and fatal series too. I'm totally hooked on all of them! The best author I've ever read thanks.

so nice to hear Big Mac and Linders story of how they got together and how Linda knows whats going on with all the families. Vudo mama. They are so loveable people.I love the Gansett books and cant wait for the next one
