This laptop lift is totally adjustable to fit your needs. It is much easier to type on the keyboard and there is no heat accumulation from under because it is up off the surface. A friend had something similar so I thought I'd give on a try. Well worth the money. IT's GREAT!! Also I love buying from Amazon since I don't have to pay the dreaded shipping charge

I got this because I got tired of looking downwards at my laptop monitor.This is a nice compact laptop riser, easy to adjust and set up. But I need to remove my laptop for any adjustments. There is simply no way to make adjustments while the laptop is on it. Although I did not expect this feature at this price range, it would have been nice.This laptop riser is very portable. I can easily fold this up and put it in my laptop backpack to carry it around with me.The very open structure of this riser ensures that it does not block any ports or exhausts on the sides/back. The front lip does get a little obstructed. This isn't a problem for me, but those who have ports/buttons on the front lip should take this into consideration.One gripe about this riser is that it is a bit flimsy. It holds my laptop well when steady, but does not inspire confidence if there is movement involved when I use the laptop keyboard, the touch-pad or try to use any of the ports on the side.When using the laptop lift at its highest point, the laptop keyboard and mouse become difficult to use. A separate keyboard and mouse is advised (I use Logitech Wireless Anywhere Mouse MX for PC and Mac and Logitech Wireless Keyboard K320).In conclusion, a good product for the price.

This item is now in the trash! The angle of the unit is too severe, it just doeskin work for me, not what i thought it would be. Waste of maney....don't buy it save your money

Ive been using this for awhile. at first it seemed a little tricky to figure out how to use it but once i did i had no problems. until i dropped it. a piece fell off and its never been the same. since then other pieces have fallen off. i guess if youre careful with it and dont move it around much it might be okay. otherwise i dont think its all that sturdy. i do like how it lifts the laptop, though it is at a slightly uncomfortable angle, but my whole reason for buying this was to allow air to reach the vents.

Well designed device but not very stable when used by itself. However, when mounted on a small tabletop with a cushion under the tabletop, it becomes a stable and versitile platform for the writer who composes from the recliner. Accomodates a 14 to 19 inch computer with no problem providing the required stability, angles, and other adjustments necessary for writing/typing/composing while sitting/laying in the recliner whether due to back problems or just lazy. Definitely a five star item with a five star price.

While buying a new laptop, I learned in the past of owning one that Laptops (especially gaming ones) get very hot when they're working and laying them flat on a table just doesn't work. Where a couple books stacked up can sometimes do the trick, they still heat up around the parts the books lay against.So I went hunting for one as I was also purchasing a new laptop and came upon this. I must say from day one as I used it I have seriously loved it. It keeps the fans and vents free of any obstruction and keeps my laptop from overheating. I must say I was skeptical at first, and a bit weary of my laptop taking a royal swan dive off the mechanism once I saw the angle it's perched at, but after the first day I was sold and felt I got my money's worth. The grips keep it in place and it actually makes easier viewing of the screen up at this angle.My neck feels better now that it's heightened a bit because I don't feel like I'm constantly staring downward at the screen, it's like perfectly at eye level now since in the living room the coffee table just doesn't help with height.My only con is possibly to say that having the keyboard at that angle takes some getting used to, as your wrists are of course put at that angle in order to type. But I've gotten used to it and am happy as a clam with my new laptop lift!

This laptop stand offers multiple angles, like many models. What's better is that it uses two extending legs with inverted "feet" to support the front edge of the laptop, not a single lip. Single-lip laptop stands don't work for my Acer laptop, because both its audio ports and speakers are on the front edge of the laptop. Another advantage: this stand folds compact and flat, taking little room in my laptop case.
