No matter what I do, the plastic lid for the container explodes open when I try to squeeze batter out.

Great idea but horrible execution. Although the container looks bigger in the picture, its actually quite small. This means that you have to struggle to keep the lid on while you work on half the macarons on the sheet, only to have to fill up the container again, while its contents continue to spill out. One positive item is that the materials that the set is made from is nice and durable which is why I gave it two stars.
