I've had Dyson's, Vax's and others over the years, but this Shark vac is certainly the best, most innovative, of the lot. Brilliant for the stairs, having only the motor unit/dust collection container to carry. Easy to empty the dust container. Suction incredible, as had vacuumed the week before purchase, with another make, yet dirt collection unit had to be emptied twice, for 2 rooms! Wife and daughter both have long hair, but clearing the roller is aided by a channel in the roller, enabling scissors to be used to chop through the hair, plus all the threads (wife's sewing machine the culprit). Good crevice tool with mini brush attached, plus vacuum driven mini brush unit. Takes a little getting used to how each part separates, but no other problems.

Replacement for my Dyson roller ball retails at £300, at half the cost (£150) the Shark outperforms the Dyson, much stronger suction. Lifts my carpets up if im nog bring careful! Lol. I love the two LED lights they help when finding the dust, easy to empty and the detachable pet accessory is brilliant, so powerful it whines when full suction is enabled. Great value, excellent machine.

My last Hoover didn’t really suck in the end but this Hoover really sucks! Yes, I’m being sarcastic and making a joke but the sucking power with this Hoover is very powerful. The main unit and the Hose is very good and better than my old Hoover. Sadly this Hoover isn’t designed very well to do with the cable! Meaning you’ll have to throw the cable over your shoulder or hold it, while you Vacuum. Yes there’s a place to clip the cable into but it’s not very high and also it’s placed on the Hose; so if you use the Hose you have to unclip the Cable to release the Hose, to use it. The Hoover is very Light which is lovely and convenient but if you walk away from the main unit with the Hose it falls over; meaning you have to carry the main unit around with you. This is something I’m not used to as my Old Hoover would follow me around while using the Hose and didn’t fall over. Just means I have to get used to my Hoover and the new way of using it, compared to my old Hoover. There’s a setting for Hard Floor and for Carpet which actually works well, if you have it on the wrong setting the sucking power is so powerful you’ll struggle to move the Hoover due to the Suction. Overall it’s a great Hoover with only one flaw… the cable is normally in the way unless you hold it.

Amazing hoover, has two modes great for hard and carpeted floors so can hoover away the entire home, the suction is really nice on hard floor which helps you glide. Overall this hoover is in the heavier sides but that’s when it’s with the bristle attachment. Amazing for only £124.99.

Always wary about buying without seeing but I'm really delighted with this vacuum. Its lightweight and easy to use. The head swivels really smoothly making it easy to glide around furniture. The detachable wand means I don't have to stop if I want to catch a cobweb. Its really simple to empty too. I still have a cordless vacuum for upstairs but this Shark is a game changer for the rest of my home - cleaning the stairs is now so quick. Delighted with it.

Very impressive product. I have had a few battery powered hovers before this and didn't really want to go back to wired ones. The battery performance was disappointing to be fair. I am glad I did swap back though. Thus us a powerfull hover with hard floor and carpet settings. Both of wich work very well. It has a long tube for celing lines and when the main hover is detached from the base to do the stairs it is light and easy to carry. Worth every penny in my opinion. 👍

I had high expectations of this machine and it has not disappointed at all. It arrived so quickly and it was beautifully packaged with great care by Shark. Not a single scratch on it. Very easy to set up and super easy to use. Cannot fault the ease of use at all and unlike some other comments about the cord getting in the way, I found the little side hook holds the cord well enough out of the way during use. I used to have an expensive Dyson Animal Ball 2 vacuum that was very good but I feel this Shark is better for ease of use because it's motorised. My back is not very good anymore so I knew the Dyson was no longer a good choice. This Shark also has just as good an air filtration system as the Dyson in that the air smells so lovely and clean after using it. This outcome actually did exceed my expectations a lot because I didn't anticipate another brand could compare to Dyson's Air filtration. The only thing I can say the Dyson outperforms this Shark in is the motorised attachment tool - the Animal Ball Dyson's one does not have a spindle that gets tangled with human hair which is one of their special design features whereas the one on the Shark does. However, I knew this would be the case because no vacuum by any manufacturer can adequately deal with the level of shedding my head of hair produces. However, this is only to do with this specific attachment. In terms of the actual main vacuum's ability cope with my shedding, I've found this Shark far out performs the Dyson. The Shark has left not a single strand of hair behind that I can see. However, I know that I need to gently cut the wrapped hair off the Shark's spindle every time and I'm happy to do that one minute job for the sake of the fantastic overall performance. Interestingly, Shark have designed a little groove along both the main motorised head spindle and also the one of the attachment where your scissor blade can scooch along safely as you cut. Genius! Also a win for this Shark is the operation lights at the front. Game changer for finding the dirt. Another huge plus is how quiet this vacuum is. Fabulous, fabulous machine. 100% happy I bought it.

I bought this as a replacement for a Dyson, I also have a shark robot but I wanted a vacuum for the stairs, high up, tight corners etc that the robot couldn’t reach and I didn’t want to spend a fortune, I couldn’t be happier this is an incredible piece of equipment, basic but completely functional and does what it needs to in a busy house with dogs and cats! Only advice I would give is buy extra filters so that you don’t have to wait for them to dry.

This vac is phenomenal! Ignore all of the reviews about the strong suction. While it does have very strong suction, you can totally control this by using the valve on the handle. I am still so grossed out by the amount of dust that this thing picks up. I got it to replace my big old heavy dyson that has obviously not been doing a good job for some time. The functionality of this little beast is great! It gets into every nook and cranny and it's super fast to swap out the tools on the go. I'm using it with a UK to AUS adapter in Australia.
