Surprisingly decent.
This thing works very well so far. It went on ok, although I can't imagine trying to cut the eye off the rod without removing it from the clutch master cylinder. That would be a nightmare. Mine came out without much issue, so I was able to do all cutting and shaping in a bench vise. Some advice: cut it long, cut just the eye off the rod, then carefully shape it to fit the hole in this. When you have it fitted, notch the rod under where the set screw is to give it something to grip. And use BLUE Loctite or even plain superglue. When you put the lever back on, use the new length of the rod to determine where the lever needs to be positioned. Don't just slap it back on in the same place it was, because the push rod will not be the same exact length that it was (unless you are super psycho with your measurements and shaping). My pedal feels like a new truck now. I like it.

Worked great for my 97 7.3
Put this in a few months ago when the stock plastic bushing (what were you thinking Ford?) wore out again. Went in pretty easy provided you are OK cutting the end off the old push rod, I used a die grinder. It has lasted fine for months and i dont expect any problems Took the play out of the clutch. Strongly advise putting one of these in before its too late. If the clutch doesn't disengage fully you end up abusing your synchronizers and that gets expensive.

Works
Factory equipment may be ok on the 150s. Inadequate for the Super Duties. The factory plastic washer pretty well disintegrates. This one will not. This may save yourself a clutch job or ruined synchro’s. Very common problem.

If you drive a manual transmission OBS or Bricknose Ford, GET THIS
If you don't have one of these already, it's time to get on the stick. We replaced the clutch pushrod in our truck with one of these and never looked back. The OEM pushrod is only held on with a plastic bushing that wears out and then the metal of both the pushrod and the clutch pedal lever wear on each other untill eventually they break. This part eliminates that problem forever. The pushrod can't ever slip off the clutch lever, it can't wear out, it can't come apart. This is one of the best mods we ever did with our truck. It does require some disassembly and modification of the existing clutch assembly to install this, but it's worth the work to eliminate the headaches of the OEM pushrod system forever.

Clearance issue, but works.
The “collar” on this piece goes around the existing shaft of your broken switch rod. It’s diameter is larger than the shaft it goes on. There is no clearance thru the body of the switch to receive the new diameter. It can spread the clutch rod switch box open, thus preventing contact inside the switch. This results in a “no start”. Clear the switch box, and it will work.

Clutch fix 1997 prior Ford pickup
Fixed my trucks sloppy clutch with this, as well as 2 of my friends same issue. If your OBS Ford is difficult to go into 1st, reverse, and downshifts are a pain... Check your bushing on the end of your clutch master cylinder rod. If it's worn some of the metal away, just get this. Fixes it and will never go bad.In all 3 cases I drilled and tapped this Heim joint for a grease nipple to eliminate any squeaking.

Buyer Beware
Buy a higher quality kit. Set screw stripped out leaving me unable to use the truck as you have to cut the bushing end off of the clutch master cylinder. Look into diesel hub kit.
