Cooperman Glen Velez Tar 17" Cooperman has collaborated with Glen Velez to create a line of tar drums with several enhanced features: tunable tar solid steam bent ash shell, extra thin, light weight slightly deeper shell depth (4 ") than standard Cooperman model (4") padded arch grip instead of thumbhole muffler/overtone dampening on synthetic headed versions choice of REMO Renaissance or skins (same price) decorative inlay shells :the Inlay design for the 17" Tar is shown in the picture above. The drum line includes tars featuring striking colorful wood in-lay in the frame and tunable heads made of skin or synthetic materials. With a light weight ash frame, they are available in three sizes with the cut-out design and rubber cushioning to soften the grip and make holding the instrument more comfortable and less fatiguing.
