HOMCOM 71" Bookcase Storage Hutch Cabinet with Adjustable Shelves and Glass Doors for Home Office, Kitchen, Living Room, White

I am using the cabinet to display my pyrex collection. It works great for this purpose as the lower shelves are protected by the glass doors which keeps the dogs out. The cabinet is sturdy and arrived without any damage. It took about an hour to assemble. Overall happy with this purchase.

I bought one of these for my tv room to keep movies, books, etc. on it, & once put together with everything in it, I liked it enough that I ordered another one for my kitchen & I’m thinking of getting one more for my tv room.It’s easy to put together- I was able to do it by myself and in 40’ish minutes (after I had everything out of the box and laid out).I don’t know if it will stand the test of time, but it seems super sturdy and of good quality so I’m sure it will.And just FYI, they do come in two separate boxes (or at least both of the ones I ordered did). So if you order one and only one box arrives and you’re wondering were all the parts are, that’s probably why.

The quality is great and the cabinet is beautiful and perfect for what i need it BUT unfortunately 2 of the parts where missing the pre drilled holes that hold screws. Fortunately I’m a handy girl and i made those my self but for the price i paid i shouldn’t have to deal with these issues. Unfortunately i didn’t get a photo of the parts I’m talking about but i will attach a picture from the instructions booklet to show where i had to make the adjustments. If i wouldn’t have encountered this issue it would definitely be a 5 star review but just want to give others a heads up incase you decide to purchase this piece.

Big kudos to whoever wrote the instructions. They are so clear and everything is labeled. It came in perfect condition and looks great.

While this bookcase is sturdy-- it is MORE than a 2-person job. Sure one person can get the bolts, cam locks, and dowels in place-- it takes more than 2 people to put together the sides and lift the assembled bookcase up. We couldn't assemble at all as in trying to do the sides the cam bolts ripped out of the wood--leaving chunks of wood. Short of using only wood screws or nails this is not assemble-able. We quit on step 4 of 22. We really liked the look and it would have worked for our house if it could have even been put together without ripping apart-- and we enjoy putting together furniture- we are no strangers to how to do it.

Ease to assembly, value for the money

I have a bunch of white IKEA book cases so this book case goes perfectly with them. I store fabrics, antique books, and all my handmade junk journals in it and I love it. Highly recommend it. Hubby and I spent 1-2 hours putting it together.

We were moving along pretty well on the assembly of the bookshelf until we discovered the main piece was missing all the pre-drilled holes. I called the company right away and they are sending a replacement piece which will take 3 to 5 business days. Now we have to live with parts strung out all over the house until the part comes.
