This is a very thick, rich cream that feels a bit waxy on my face IF I apply too much. (Beeswax is one of the ingredients). It is hard to spread by itself but I find that by mixing with a drop or two of argan or rosehip oil, it is easier to spread and the benefits are enhanced. It took awhile for me to gauge the right amount to use; as I said, too much and my face felt waxy and greasy. You really need only a minimal amount to see brightened, firmer looking and feeling skin. All the ingredients are natural; it does contain lanolin so would not be the best product for vegans and there are some who have sensitivities to beeswax and lanolin. Other ingredients are rose petals, rose hip extract, rose oil and a variety of other natural oils - no mineral oil/petrolatum. All ingredients are listed in the product description. I have always had success in using anything with rose oils/extracts on my sensitive skin and this is no exception.I am really impressed with the condition of my skin since using Golden Sundrops facial products. This day cream took some getting used to, but I like it better and better each day. I was using a very expensive day cream by LUSH which I love, but just can't justify spending that kind of money any longer. This cream is an entirely different texture from that one and I believe it actually works similarly. I am 49, not happy about that and fighting to keep as youthful a look as possible without surgery. Golden Sundrops Day Cream serves my needs beautifully; my skin is moisturized and glowing! I'd like to mention that diet also plays an important role in keeping healthy skin, and I recommend taking oils internally as well. I take evening primrose oil, fish oil and coconut oil daily, as well as eating plenty of fruits, berries and greens.Some other reviewers can smell roses in the scent of it, but I cannot. To me it has a rather old-fashioned smell which is neither strong nor unpleasant. The scent really does not matter to me as long as it does not cause irritation or burn my eyes, a problem I've always had with most department store/drugstore brands. Each batch of creams is handmade, so there may be more of a rosy aroma in some than others. For the price, you are not going to find a better cream for aging skin! I have noticed that sometimes women in their 20's will use these rich creams and it does not "work" for them, probably because at that age their skin is still producing oil enough. I do not recommend this for very young skin unless it is unusually dry. But for those in their 40's and beyond, this is a restorative, moisturizing and highly efficient anti-aging tool that you don't need to reach deep into your pockets to buy!P.S. I would like to add that I live in a very humid climate (Georgia) so that has an impact on my skin care. In the summer when it gets really hot and humid, I barely use any moisturizer. Yesterday and today we've had much milder weather with low humidity and this cream performed great. So if you live in an area that is drier, of course you can use more than I normally do : )

Ok.but smells weird

I like the purity and lack of fragrance. Starts to moisturize as soon as it is warmed by the skin. Use sparingly. Great for those times you just want some cream and no makeup for a few hours.

I love this brand - actually, it was my boyfriend (a scientist) who found it for me after he got tired of listening to my whining when the cream that I loved (by another company) was discontinued (true story!) Many of the products in this line, at least the ones I've tried, including this one, ARE very thick and rich and I understand why someone said they were 'greasy' but, for more mature or dryer skins, they are super nourishing. My skin (on which I frequently receive compliments) glows and I believe it is, in part, from the products in this line. (The other part is, of course, all that other boring stuff - exercise, eating plenty of fruits and veggies, drinking enough water, etc.)Please don't ever stop making your products!

Grease

I do not like applying creams on my face as I end up looking greasy. This cream in the 2 weeks I have used is a welcome relief from that problem

Seems to work well, I also reapply it right before I wear makeup since I tend to get dry. I have repurchased already! And I like the natural ingredients.
