CARBURETOR CARB FITS STIHL FS120 FS200 FS250 TRIMMER WEEDEATER BRUSH CUTTER

My 10 year old FS200 brush cutter was always hard to start and the shop where I bought could never make it better (lots of excuses, no cure). This year it would not start and seemed to be badly flooding the engine. I went through the carb twice and it was clean but the heavy flooding indicated a needle and seat problem. I bought this carb which has 2 additional adjuster screws that the original did not. I also bought a new spark plug as the other was wet from fuel. Had to remove a rubber cover that was over the spot where these additional adjustment screws are for the cover to fit over these screws (black screws in the photo). Now all 3 screws are accessible with a small screwdriver. The choke lever was also a bit hard to get slid on to the shaft. Took about 30 minutes to change. Once on. It fired right up and runs better than it ever did. I was able to dial in the high fuel adjustment to where this thing screams. What a difference. I wish the shop had done this years ago. And this carb was cheap! THANK YOU!!

I have a 10-12 year old FS 250 that I bought for the house. I only use it maybe 6 times a year for weed wacking and I also have the brush cutter attachment. The stock carb crapped out 5 years ago. After taking the carb apart a few times I couldn't get it to work, went to my Stihl dealer and asked for a price for a new carb. I forget how much they quoted me but it was WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. The castings on the stock carb showed that it had been manufactured in China. This is the 2nd replacement carb on my FS 250. Unbolted the old one, installed this carb and the FS 250 fired right up. Idled nice and revved right up without adjustment. It wasn't running at proper rpm's at full throttle so I played with the adjustment screws a bit on both the idle and high rpm adjustment. Runs great at full throttle and idles great!! I had blisters on my fingers from yanking on the pull cord handle trying to keep it running with the old carb. I'm going to blame the ethanol in the gas that gets purchased at your local gas station. The ethanol is an alcohol that allows water to mix with the ethanol and gets entrapped in the gasoline/ethanol and promotes/allows corrosion inside of carb. I am using only non ethanol gasoline now (since last fall) in my small equipment (lawn mowers, chainsaws, small generators,etc). I get this from a small airport in Southern NH (Hampton airport) instead of paying $10/quart that sell in the stores. This carb came without gaskets, wrapped in bubble wrap, and in a box that said made in china. Identical to the old stock carb (which was also mad in china for Stihl) and so far is working great. Can't go wrong for the price, and with 2 day shipping if you have Prime......how can you go wrong?? Professional Diesel mechanic who hates dealing with the small little gas engines :)

It fit perfectly into my Stihl FS 250 and it was surprisingly easy to install (considering I'm mechanically inept). I had several issues with the trimmer not starting or dying while idle. I almost reached the point of frustration where lighting it on fire seemed like the best choice. Luckily I did a little reading and since the carburetor is relatively cheap, I bought it as a last effort to get it fixed. I'm glad I did because now it runs like a champ! Starts quickly, idles great and runs almost as good as it did when I first bought it many years ago!

Instead of re-building the carb I bought a new one for $5 more, such a deal. Fired right up and works great on my weed eater. Thanks for a good product, took a while to arrive but very satisfied.

Great carburtor. Pre-adjusted so just mount and you're good to go. I use this on an almost 20 y/o FS250 that's still going strong!

Part was installedand it worked great. No issues thus far.
