Looks nicer than cork, but harder to work with
Product looks nice. It is scored down the middle to cut it into two pieces so that it will make smooth curves, and the scoring is often not very well centered - causing a mismatch when joining ends together. Also, it is difficult to complete the scoring into a full cut cleanly unless you use a very sharp razor blade or knife.Bottom line - it looks a bit more realistic than the brown cork product I've used before, but it is also a bit more difficult to work with.

Easy to install and work with.
The track bed was very easy to install and by sliding it down the middle was used to make curve track beds.

Better than cork roadbed
I have used cork roadbed in past I tried these as they were cheaper. Much better no splitting the pieces apart bend easier all around better at cheaper price

Good Product, but ruined by package for shipment.
I bought this HO track roadbed to see what Woodland Scenics products are like. The foam roadbed is half the thickness of cork roadbed, so don't expect to directly mix this with cork. It is also not very dense. It seems to collapse with minimal pressure. Secondly, and more importantly, the foam roadbed was shipped by this 3rd part hobby store folded over in a 14"x11" padded envelope. The roadbed was bent and creased in the package. 7 of the 12 strips are damaged beyond use. Modelers beware!! The company did not recognize that shipping like this would damage the foam. What were they thinking? 2 foot sections of flat foam shipped in a 14"x11" padded envelope?!! Very disappointed in this. I will be wary of ordering from this shop again. They don't answer their phone, either. Modellbahn Ott Hobbies, or Supreme Hobbies, are both listed on the order info.

Very easy to work with.
Able to achieve a very realistic appearance with proper size ballast. Adds a lot of realism to your layout,

give me cork!
I love Woodland Scenics, have for years, but... Hard time finding cork, first time trying this. Harder to cut and nail than cork, a proper split down the center like cork also sorely missed. Works in a pinch, but poor cork substitute.
