I think this kit is just "ok". My 6yo was far more impressed than I was. My main problem with this kit is that there is no way anyone could string these beads. All thread included is far to thick for the tiny bead holes. My daughter was excited to use a real needle for the first time though. Pictured next to the needed is a needle threader (threaders can be picked up for $1 at your local box if they still have a sewing dept). The string she used to make her bead bracelet was silky smooth. It made the beading process easier... but the bracelet broke three minutes after she finished. I triple knotting it off too and that wasn't strong enough to keep the knot together. I'd recommend dotting the knot with a drop of glue or clear nail polish to make it hold. In addition, I think this kit is divided in half; made for two different age groups. Younger children who would be interested in beading part probably won't be ready for friendship braclet weaving for a few more years. And just the same, I think older girls might find the beading process too juvenile. So if your looking for a friendship bracelet kit, I don't see a lot of value in this kit. These is also a lot of excess packaging to make what you get seem bigger than it is. I feel like this is something that I would have pick up at five below, so $13 feels overpriced to me. (My daughter wanted to use her own round letter beads; but she could have used the square letter beads that came in this kit just the same)

We really like craft kits. I would much prefer them doing something than watching something. It is nice because they can spend the time doing it and then they have something special to keep. They are excited when they make something themselves. This is a great activity for a rainy day or a day when your child is sick or when you are just stuck at home. It is a good way to keep a child busy. I thought it was age appropriate. It wasn’t too hard. The children really liked how it turned out. I feel like this is good for child development. It kept my children's interest. It would also make a nice gift. I would recommend it.

The Just My Style Rainbow Shell Jewelry is a good jewelry craft kit for kids, and it makes a decent amount of bracelets and has a large supply of beads and embroidery string for using this craft with more than one kid at a time. This is great because the kids don't have to have separate kits. This product was a little difficult for my 4 and 6 year olds, but they enjoyed this craft kit, one of many I received over a recent lock down in my area. For a long while, we did a different craft everyday, and due to the amount of parent involvement, this was one I got a lot more experience with. I would recommend this kit probably for kids 8-10, as there is tying, threading, looping involved, and its a bit above the level my kids are at. It's still a very fun and useful kit, and it definitely kept them busy, but if your kids are a bit younger, expect to provide full supervision and help.
