Tesla Coil Lighters™ USB Rechargeable Windproof Dual Arc Lighter (Gold)

Had this lighter for 6 weeks now. I smoke 16 cigarettes a day and the charge last for 7 days. takes 1 hour to recharge. the lid feels very secure and tight. the safety switch in the lid works very well, No spark until the lid is opened all the way. no problem with it going off in my pocket. the button works very well no sticking or shock. the USB plug that comes with it works fine. this lighter is very solid and looks great. just follow the instructions. do not use for more than 5 seconds at a time (it take 2 to 3 seconds to light a cigarette) and when charging unplug it when the light turns green.(do not overcharge) up to 7 months it lasted 7 days per charge. After 7 months the battery got weak and would only last 5 days after 8 months it only lasted 3 days. wish the battery was better, but I bought another one because I love this lighter. is there any way to change the battery ? that would be great. the 2nd one had a problem, seller quickly replaced.

So I bought this thing on a recommendation from a Discord acquaintance. He recommended it to me after I kept complaining about losing lighters. Don't know how getting a $20 lighter would prevent me from losing lighters, but this dude still actively plays destiny 2 so he's obviously not that smart. Anyway, I pop this thing out of the box and start using it. Immediately notice the ear-piercing shriek it makes when you use it. It's like a zombie Nikola Tesla whose hands would be nothing but bones and fingernails decided to drag his fingernails across a classroom sized chalkboard while forcing me to bite down on a metal spoon (full teeth). Good news is that it's so high pitched that I probably won't have to suffer the noise after a few more years. All in all, it's great. Works as advertised, battery lasts forever, and it's really good for punishing disobedient teammates over voice chat.Edit: I've had this thing for more than 3 years. It still works and I haven't lost it.

So I've used it the past couple weeks and all I can say is what a great conversation piece. It lights my cigarette even in a strong breeze. It will light candles, paper, cotton balls, and melt plastic. The electrodes dont seem to be melting like other reviews have stated. I constantly get comments on it and everyone loves the elegance of the gold and black trim. The battery lasts 3 days, but I'm constantly showing it off so it's getting a workout. Build quality is good. The flip top is crisp and feels like it has a quality spring. The brass looks like it's electroplated on the base metal so it's highly resistant to scratches. I keep it in my pocket with change and it has yet to get anything more than a surface scratch. My single ding on it is the short (6") charge cable. It's a standard USB phone cable so I have plenty of longer ones. I will be buying more as gifts for this holiday season.

I got this as a fun and hopefully more eco friendly way to light candles, which are the only things I ever set on fire.This lighter has a real cool factor, and I just love using it due to the concept, feel (very solid), and look. It works well for lighting candles, although once a candle has been burnt and the wick is shortened, it's harder to light - I can do so from only one side of my lighter, oddly enough. However, I can always get the candle to light. I really like using this lighter for candles because unlike a match, I never burn myself (when I turn it upside down to light, the electric arc stays in place unlike the flame of a match which continues to point up, right at my fingers. And I'm not left running from candle to candle with a rapidly burning match). Also, I'm not afraid of accidentally setting my trash on fire (I always seriously soak it before I dispose of a match), so that's a relief.The only flaw with using it to light candles, is that if your candle is in a jar, you won't be able to light the candle unless you can fit your whole hand inside and then hold the lighter horizontal to the wick. So I'm still stuck with matches for certain candles.Charges well and the safety mechanism (where the top prevents the electric arc when top is closed) works well. You can trigger the "close" by pressing where it pushes down when closed, and the lighter won't turn on even though the top is open. Very functional and fun.

But in a month the one Arc it's supposed to have two works that make an x when you push the button and in a month the one Arc died the battery wears out after a day so you just charge it overnight good buy for the buck though not a problem no complaints I love it it's the one lighter I have that nobody steals

I purchased this coil lighter in July 2016. The amazing thing is I still have it after 7 years and 10 months. The other amazing thing is that it still works great.

This lighter is so cool! It's stylish, fits well in the hand and a conversation starter. The battery lasts a long time and simply fun to use. It's a tad heavier in the pocket and there's a small learning curve in lighting a cigarette. It takes a second longer when you use it but the X plasma field it generates is well work it. After using it for a couple of weeks, I'm bring a bunch of them to family members overseas. Can't wait to show them!
