This is an excellent pet carrier - PROS: the expansion feature and triple use options (1) conventional carrier with shoulder strap (2) attachable to a wheeled carry-on (3) backpack is super handy. With multiple opening screens and other features it’s near perfect as far as carriers go. CONS: (1) there is only one small front pocket to put extras like poo poo bags, treats, etc. A larger front pocket addition to the small one would make it truly the perfect pet bag. (2) it is only available in one size and one color choice. While the light gray fabric and contrast camel piping is very attractive and feels high quality BUT the one size is good for a dog up to only about 12lbs. We tried it out on a couple small trips but it is too small for my 14lb Westie-Poo so it is going to have to go back and I will have to keep looking for the right size carrier (you think it would be simpler than it is, right?!?!)

This is probably the best carrier ever. High quality too. It has a support cushion for your back so it is comfortable and doesn’t bounce much so your animal is as comfortable as possible too. I have sent this link to so many people because it is large but fits in airlines, it’s expandable, but also a backpack, and it has a leash inside it so you can hook your animal in but keep the top open so they don’t feel confined (but you don’t have to worry bout them jumping out).Seriously worth the money!

This looks great and expands fantastic. So size, quality, comfort and look are great and was hoping it would be as functional. but a major issue that I found is that the straps are the bottom so it will always be on the floor and I need this to take to dog relief areas at airports and stations and this would not stay clean and I would be carrying this on my shoulders. I travel a lot with my dog so this would not hold up for my particular need

I bought this to bring my 13 lb dog in cabin with me on an upcoming flight. She falls just within the maximum weight, head height, length, and shoulder height limits suggested by the manufacturer, but I felt she was too big for this bag.Pros:- It is expandable to allow for the pet to spread out a bit while you are in the airport, or if you are willing to sacrifice your leg space- It works as a backpack for hands-free carrying- When expanded, it has a higher head clearance than other expandable carriers for the pet's comfortCons:- It has pretty thick cushioning on the bottom. Great for the pet's comfort but my dog is on the bigger side , so it didn't leave enough room in the bag for her.- Other expandable bags have a zip up inner lining to contain the expandable wings. This bag just uses a velcro lining, which allows the wings to sag into the inner space of the bag. Again, if your dog is on the bigger size, it doesn't leave enough room.- The mesh on the expandable wings is a little thin. So I don't think this would be good for a cat that might try to scratch its way out. But it would be fine, and maybe even more breathable, for a calm pet. Also because the mesh is thin, it seems to catch more easily on the zipper. (This is compared to another expandable pet carrier I bought that has a sturdier mesh)

I looked at several carriers in hopes of finding one my dog could be comfortable in, but her long and 22lb self just isn't meant to fly. I liked the idea of a backpack which this carrier offers. When the carrier lays flat, the straps and padding provide extra cushion for the bottom which I like for the vibrating floor of an aircraft. It is not symmetrical with the two extensions but that's not a problem. The velcro to hold the extension netting is a really nice touch. The tiny clips to keep zippers together and other trim give it high quality. This would have been the bag for us.

I love the design, but the materials and workmanship are of poor quality. The zippers are the kind you'd find on a disposable product. Out they box, they snag and get stuck. I can't imagine they would last long at all before permanently breaking. The rest of the bag feels cheap, too. It's a shame. I'd gladly pay much more if this were a decent product, but as is I think we'll have to return it.

I had tried a cheaper, side carry bag in the past and my dog freaked out and busted through the mesh on it during our very first flight with it. This carrier was much much better. The fact that I could carry her on the front with the backpack straps, and how soft the bottom is, she was totally fine. She didn't freak out, didn't try to break through the mesh, and even if she had this mesh would have been too strong for her. We didn't fly with this one yet, but she went on the subway fine.To the reviewers that say the flaps are uneven: Yes, it says that in the description because a dog's head is taller, so those flaps are taller. And yes, the velcro for the flaps should be a little longer for those that are not as dexterous to be able to easily hold them back when they're not out, but if you can get it, they hold fine and don't flop down on the puppers.

Sturdy, washable, airline approved, takes up some foot room but not much, the fold outs are great
