For surf fishing, bass, and trout fishing
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. UPDATE, a few months later: keeping the 5 stars. I've gone fishing up to 3 times a week with this backpack. Extremely solid. Zippers are perfect, it still is like brand new although I didn't really do any maintenance on it (nor wash it :)))First impression is great. You can see in the video the process of loading it with my fishing stuff. Here are some details:PROS:- feels very solid- zippers are very good- 3 large compartments (2 in the front, 1 in the back; the largest compartment in the front also has a mesh pocket and a large zipper pocket inside)- 2 smaller compartments in the front- it will hold a lot of stuff (that is a very relative statement, as I am speaking for my needs; others may find it small; it really depends on what you want it for; too small for a tent but plenty big for a day's hike!)- it has great stability; I was looking specifically for a backpack that wouldn't tip over- price is really great; I looked initially for fishing backpacks and they were far, far too expensive- shoulder straps are really long; I ended up tightening them all the way (I am 5'10 and 172 pounds) so it will fit someone bigger than me easilyCONS (so far):- huge amount of straps (others may see this as a pro, but for what I need they were really useless and annoying; some I had to cut, some came off simply)- quite heavy by itself; it surprised me a bit.- no side mesh for a water bottleTo sum up, first impression is that I couldn't have done better than this. Time will tell us more about how long it lasts but I am pretty confident I made a good choice.Should anything change, I'll make sure to update you :)

Best pond hopping backpack I have found so for. For the price.
I bought this backpack to hold 2 Plano 3700 series stowaway boxes for fishing pond hopping. It held 3 the 2” thick ones. You could fit 4 of the 1”3/8” ones. It’s perfect for what I use it for. Mine is 100% water proof I carry a trash bag with me if it rains or the ground is wet or muddy. This backpack is good for about 25 lbs and that’s pushing it. This is a $22.00 backpack!!! it won’t stand up right, not water proof unless you cover it. If you put 50lbs of wt. in it yes it will rip at the seams. If you over stuff it and try to pull the zippers closed it will bust the zippers. Only thing I didn’t like was the chest strap is a little high on me. I’m 6’2” tall 220 lbs. Best fishing backpack I’ve found so for. It’s lightweight , inexpensive, I have tried fishing backpacks in the $200 range and the first thing you notice is the wt. there heavy!!! Most of the time almost as much as the gear you want to carry. you don’t need every lure, wt, hook, or whatever fishing gear you own it. I like it if it brakes your out $22 I’ll just try something else.

and the separate compartments are great in case of rain so he does not have ...
After spending 3.5 years working overseas in Afghanistan, my son loves all things military. As the new school year approached, he wanted a backpack line nothing any of the other kids would have, and of course he loves camouflage. After much searching, he decided on this backpack for his school bag, and with a week of school behind us he loves it. He is able to fit all his things in there, it secures well over him, especially when riding a bike, and the separate compartments are great in case of rain so he does not have to open the whole bag just to get a rain coat out.The bag seems well built, and a bit heavier than I would have expected. The only negative I can say about it is at the top center of the back there is a row of Velcro with elastic loops sewn over most of it. It would have been nice to have a little more exposed Velcro to allow for a traditional name plate, but this is by no means insurmountable.

One tough and durable backpack....love it.
Just a tough and functional backpack. I teach Algebra 2 at a high school and this is much better than a cart. Holds two teachers editions, my test and quizzes answer key binder, lesson plan binder, several spiral notebooks, about 50 pens in the small top pouch and the lower small pouch holds steno pads and other similar items nicely. The zippers are very sturdy and durable. Have had it several months without any problems and I use it every day! Very happy with it..

Why do I need to enter a code for the FREE binoculars if every pack comes with a set ?
Absolutely love this back pack.( I was not Compensated in any way for this review I purchased this backpack with my own hard earned money) you seriously can not beat the price of this back pack. I bought it to pack my stuff around for work, I am a commercial glazier. So I put this thing throughthe ringer, daily. the only thing I can say bad is...and this is my own fault because I didn't enter the code due to not looking at all the pictures in the listing.I only looked at the 1st one. So I did not receive the free Binoculars although I will say if every one of these backpacks comes with a free pair of binoculars why do I need to enter a redemption code ??? If it come with it free then you should just send it with the order. In my opinion. Other than that . The zippers are huge and extremely well made. It is water resistant and has tons of separate storage. I paid over 60 $ for my last back pack and it wasn't 1/2 as nice as this one.

Well worth getting for the occasional camper.
Bought it for son who is in Air Cadets, is able to pack his 2 week supply of clothing and personal items with space to spare. The various straps, supports, and abundance of pockets as well clip access points has been very useful. Rugged and deceptively strong for its size and weight. Stitching is good, though we reinforced ours anyway. It has been tossed, piled on, bounced around (imagine teenagers at camp) and it has stood up very well. Shoulder, chest and waists straps made it easy to carry with minimal stress on the back and shoulders and the breathable shoulder pads were a bonus.

Didn't last 10 minutes
Well changing the review to 2 stars. Got this bag mid November and finally used today for a significant hike I planned to do. After about 10 minutes into my hike the waist strap broke off.I had this securley buckled around my waist as I had my other bags. And Bam, strap pulls apart from the bag. It wasn't even a tear, just clean detachment from the bag. It seems it was poorly stitched.Lastly I noticed that the zipper system is very good either. When you zip in one direction the zippers don't fasten to each other. Hard to explain, but you zip but it doesn't close.Had high hopes for this bag and I'm going to return it. Thank God for prime in this case

Good pack for the price, but some doubts on the construction
I was looking for pack for travelling, and I was a real big fan of having Molle strips on the bag. I found this bag and the price was decent. The material was a little thin for my taste and the construction was adequate. The one thing that really turned me off of the bag was the shoulder straps. On the top of the shoulder straps there are buckles and a thin strap which connect to the bag. That was the one thing that made me return it. If your going out and loading up your pack with gear, all the weight is on the top most portion of the shoulder strap. If that part fails or gets loose while moving, you have to either readjust or fix it. The pack that ordered later from Amazon is amazing...and it was the same price...review upcoming!!

In general a good backpack
Change all the clip for metal one. They broke easily with the cold temperatures in Canada. They broke after 2 monthsThe inside pooches (in the big opening) had holes in them after just a year. The rest of the bag is good and the velcro/zippers still in good condition after 2 years. For sure its not a really expensive backpack so for the price it does the job

Opposite of everything I want in a backpack
After having used it once, the stitching holding each shoulder strap popped. That alone is worth changing my 4 star review down to 1, but on top of that, the main part of the backpack it separated into 2 pouches. This sounds like it's no problem, or could even be a bonus, but u end up having a hard time making ANYTHING fit.
