No tools for F15 X5 BMW needed
Easy job, tools are not even needed to change the filter. Takes 5minutes max.Just remove the panel underneath the glove box in the passenger footwell . Slide the cover off and the filter comes out.Very easy to do. Check only for detailed instructions if needed.Dealer wanted for this filter and the filters under the hood 700 dollar. Filters cost here is 55 dollar and maybe about 30 minute work total.Everyone can do it. Believe me.Filter looks and feels exactly as the one I stalled from BMW, I have no reason to believe that this is not a original part.I also couldn’t believe that the old filter looked very dirty. I didn’t expect that the circulation filter gets much use. Well, it does get used lol.Anyway, go for it, don’t pay anyone to do this for you.No, tools are needed on a F15 BMW X5.

Less dense, less cost
Not as rigid or dense as the BMW version I replaced, but fit fine. I don't have allergies, so it's not essential to me to have top of the line air filtration. Also note, this is a very simple project on an f15 X5 compared to my previous 5 series sedan. No tools required.
