I was lead to believe this was a book, not a preschool thingy.

This is a great book, enjoyed by all ages (4.5 - 50+ yo) So much fun!

The instruction book (if you can really call it that) doesn't teach you how to draw anything. It is basically the author showing off some of the things he's drawn. The sketch book has too much of a border, it gets in the way. You are basically paying for some pencils, an eraser, and a mediocre sketch book that has such a big border it encroaches on your space to draw. I'd pass.

My 8 year old granddaughter loved this and it has kept her entertained on many occasions.

Cute kit - with pencil, sketch book, and how-to-draw book. Easy enough even those of us without artistic ability can be successful.
