It was fairly simple and easy to use
Ok, so here's the deal. The dash cam that I received did not have any Instructions or Manual. Other than that, it seemed to be all there. I was able to find a Youtube Video that showed me how to set-up the device. It was fairly simple and easy to use. Once it was set-up and working, I took it for a drive. The camera is small and compact and easy to mount. It has a full 170 field of view which is nice. The clarity of the video was surprisingly clear. I have tried other dash cams and at least for the $ spent, this seems to be a good value. I have tired to get a manual at the support website, [email protected] but they have not contacted me back with the PDF. Overall not a bad deal, but poor customer support.

FILE CORRUPTED- the exact moment crash happened... Seriously? Wont recommend.
So, i wanted to trust this camera, because the quality of the video is really good. The customer service is also pretty good, as they replaced a non working one with a working model.BUT- when i needed it the most, it did NOT perform. I got into a minor scuffle, and was at ease, because i had my dash cam on, and knew it was not NOT my fault, assuming that the accident was recorded on the dash cam.As soon as i got into the accident, i disconnected the camera power source, as i didnt want to lose the footage.BUT- after i got home, the EXACT moment the accident happened- the camera did not capture the accident. i mean WTF? i downloaded the file- and the exact moment of the accident video files got corrupted. seriously? isnt that whole point of the camera to capture THE MOMENT of the crash? Maybe the G sensor had to do something with it? or maybe me removing the power source ? ( either way that should NOT have effected the recording of the file)And because i don't have any evidence( as i had assumed and claimed- because of presence of the dash cam) i was found guilty of the crash.I will NOT recommend this one to anyone. i am now actively looking for another model on amazon to replace this one that i have.

There were several things I liked about this model
I have been researching dash cams for quite awhile. I got a cheapo dash cam for Christmas last year that went in the trash after about a week of trying to get it to turn on automatically. There were several things I liked about this model. 1) The power cords connects at the suction cup mount so you do not have a wire hanging down. 2) It comes with a Micro SD card. 3) Most of the reviews seemed real (only a few of the "I received this free for a fair and honest review) 4) the price was mid-range of the dash cams listed. There was a recent price drop on this camera and I decided to order it. I have not been disappointed. The packaging was fantastic. It came in a hard shell box, the camera was mounted in it's own custom foam and the cords were neatly packaged beneath the camera. The instructions were very clear and easy to read with identifying pictures to go along with the instructions. It's extremely small. The product dimensions on Amazon must be for the box it comes in because the actual camera is only 1.5." x 1.5" x 1" (estimated). It's small (see attached photo with quarter for comparison). The suction cup has held great so far. The power cord was long enough to go from the top of the windshield (middle) down the window frame and under the dash to the power outlet beneath the radio. Everything is tucked neatly out of site.As recommended in the instructions, I left all the setting in the default mode. I only entered the date/time. It's on an outlet that turns on with the ignition. The camera powers up and starts recording immediately when I turn the switch. There is nothing that I need to do to start recording. I have review the video that was taken (during day only- so far) and it looks great. Can't quite make out the license tag numbers, maybe if you zoom in on the video you could see them. Honestly, my dirty windshield may be part of the problem.Overall, I highly recommend this camera.I did NOT receive this product free or at a discount rate for my review. I paid for it myself with money I earned working for a US company!!My review and comments are my personal opinion and I hope you find it useful.

Having problem holding charge, not leaving on.
The dash cam takes pretty good video, However, it doesn't hold the date so I don't think it's holding a charge at all. I have charged in in the car, I left it on my computer hooked up all day (on charge). It just doesn't seem to want to hold a charge. As long as it's connected in the car it seems to work okay, but I sure wouldn't want to rely on the date stamp. Also, some of the videos come up as corrupted files, I'm not sure why that is happening but I would hate it to happen to one that I needed. FYI, I am not leaving it on unattached to power so it's not like it has time to run down. All in all, it's okay I think. Not happy with the charge problem at all. But, it is nice and small and unobtrusive and the quality of the video seems to be pretty good. I think the worst thing is that I went to the website and there is nothing there to help you at all. I did write the support address provided, so we will see....

Updated review - failed just after return window closed
As a dash cam, this works OK, but within six weeks of arrival the internal battery would not hold a charge. This results in the unit not retaining the date/time setting. The battery is not user-replaceable and, therefore, after only a few months of ownership, the camera no longer does the job I bought it to do.

good cam fair price
this is my first dashcam, so i have no other ones to compare it to, now this is what sold me on this cam and the company they are made here and the manual is only in english and it is a pretty good manual nice size print and good instructions. i am no tech guy and in a few days of tinkering i got it,, now for price, you all see that prices for cams from 25bucks to 200bucks i thought a middle of road cam would be best for me. this dashcam seems to be a good entry level cam,, so a good cam easy to use and a fair price sure this mite be the one for you,,
