Amazing product... saved my sanity with daily medication administration for my infant!
We LOVE our Pacidose! My 4 month old son has acid reflux & has to take a liquid medication daily... prior to getting the Pacidose we were simply using a syringe to squirt the medicine into the side or back of his mouth bit by bit, but he ALWAYS spat out about half of it or dribbled it down his chin. With the Pacidose he happily accepts the pacifier piece & then easily sucks down the medication without issue, ensuring that he's getting his full dose of medicine every.single.time. We've also used it to administer Infant Tylenol multiple times (for those of you who have had kids spit out that bright red liquid, you know that ensuring they swallow all of the medicine is really nice... and helpful in avoiding having red stains on bibs/clothing/etc.). We love this thing so much that we ordered another one & sent it to some friends who have a 6 month old who takes the same medication my son takes daily... & they love it too!We actually had an issue with our first Pacidose breaking about a month after we received it, & I contacted the company to inquire about whether there was a replacement policy or warranty available because we really wanted to continue using it, but didn't want to have to purchase another unit so closely to our initial purchase. I received a prompt email response from Dr. Scofield herself, asking me for my mailing address & ensuring me that she would personally mail us a replacement Pacidose immediately (she did!). That's true customer service in my opinion & we'll definitely be purchasing the next size up when my son outgrows the 0-6 month size in a few months!

Pros and Cons
This has been a lifesaver in getting our 6 month old to take his antibiotics. In that regard, I absolutely love it.However, before our first use, we hand washed it and the paint came right off of the syringe. Squinting to get the correct dose with the syringe is irritating, to say the least. Particularly since the paint came off before we even got to use it once.Less than a week later, and the “PaciDose” stamp is also basically melting off of the syringe.I have noticed that water also gets into the pacifier (much like any other pacifier). With other pacifiers, I keep an eye out for wear and mold so I can throw them out and get new ones. This is quite a bit more expensive, so while it isn’t used as regularly, I can see encountering similar issues and needing to toss it because of what might accumulate in that trapped water over time. I think this is probably just one of those risks with pacifiers. The paint does make me question the overall quality a bit, though. I’m just hoping the rest of this thing holds up better than the paint did.

Easiest way to give medicine to baby
I have to say, I was initially very displeased with this product. My 6 month old broke it before we could even try it! The company sent me a new one though, so I tried it again, as I was pretty desperate (my son would spit out any and all liquid medications, some of which he has to take daily - it was such a struggle). With the Pacidose, I'm happy to say that he takes most of his medicine now, with zero struggle. There is no more trying to restrain him while he screams and spits medicine out all over himself, which makes this mama SO much happier (and him as well). I should add that my son does not take pacifiers or bottles, so I really was unsure about this product, but it still seems to do the that trick. He just gnaws away at it while I slowly release the medicine into his mouth (I also mix in some breastmilk, which seems to help too). I used to DREAD medicine time, so I am beyond thankful this worked out for us!

Highly recommend!! Best option we found.
At 3days old, we found out our son had a very rare genetic disorder. This requires him to take pills multiple times a day which was very challenging at such a young age. We tried many different things. This BY FAR was the best method for administering medicine and took the process from a nightmare to a pleasant experience. We tried many other medical pacifiers...and this one was superior to them all.Several of the others did not connect well or you had to line them up perfectly and keep them like that while pushing meds, which is poor design for a wiggly, fussy infant. Others he couldn't really suck out the meds for himself well, so you kinda had to blindly squirt them into his mouth which often let to choking and spitting up the meds. This one connects so strongly we can put it in his mouth, let him lead the sucking of meds while we gently push the syringe AND it will stay connected for him to keep it in his mouth for 30min to absorb the meds and not spit them up.I highly recommend this if you need to administer meds to an infant. So glad we found it!! We use it multiple times every day for 9 weeks now...our baby loves it and it has even become his comfort object.

Definitely didn't work for us!
This thing is awful. It didn't trick my daughter for one second. She was only 5 months old and the pacifier was way too small for her mouth and she has a tiny mouth compared to other babies her age. Also something to note, if your kid does not take this type of pacifier in the first place, they aren't going to take this. My daughter will only take Natursuttens and refuses all other pacis, so I wasn't surprised that she refused this one and wouldn't even suck on it. If your kid takes this style, you might have some luck, but otherwise, I don't recommend this one. Per our pediatrician, we tried making a hole in a soothie pacifier (she would at least suck on those) and putting medicine in the hollow nipple portion, and that definitely didn't work either. She still could taste the awful medicine (Prilosec, it's absolutely awful) and would spit it all out past the pacifier. We figured out that the best way was to use the smallest syringe (skinniest) that would hold the dose (the ones that are about the thickness of a pencil or straw) and roll it on her tongue with her mouth closed and give it as quickly as possible. This Pacidose was useless.
