Juniper Books - The Lord of the Rings 5 Volume Book Set - Custom Cover Design for J.R.R. Tolkien Collection

I grew up with these books and have loved them and their associated movies/shows nearly all my life. I have paperback versions of all the books that are showing their age and thought it was time for an upgrade. Other, less expensive hardback sets I looked at had many issues reported, so I took the plunge on this well-reviewed set despite the premium price. I wasn’t disappointed. The print is flawless, the pages are high quality, the books are very well put together, and the covers are the best quality I’ve seen on any book (they have an almost velvet feel to them). If you’re on the fence because of price, take the plunge, as you get what you pay for.

I was worried from the reviews that it wasn’t going to be good quality but it is really nice! Love the book covers how it makes the mountains together. I don’t know if it should’ve been over 200$ I think it should’ve been more 150$ or 170$ but it’s fine I do love them though just wish it came with a book case like other book sets have but over all they are really good quality and love them!

Beautiful jacket design and every volume has precise maps included. The artwork is perfect, and the lettering is well printed.Once you remove the jackets, you will be rewarded with an even more gorgeous design on the hardcover itself. A true look and feel that to be expected from a product of Middle Earth, and further inserts you into that world.The shipping packaging was perfect for protection during travel. With plenty of bubble wrap and sealed air. There was no damage whatsoever.Overall, if you love the works of Tolkien and wish to possess the greatest story ever written, I highly recommend purchasing through Juniper Books.Also.. enjoy!

I am not a big reader but my son is and loves his books. This is the second set of Juniper Books we have purchased. They are beautiful and look great on his bookshelf.

Just received these today. They're beautiful and exactly as pictured. Even the texture for the cover feel high quality. It's a bit expensive, but I will certainly enjoy the books.

These books are so well made and the covers are silky smooth!! The books spines are beautiful too . They are looking awesome on the bookshelf !! I'm in love!!

I knew something was off just by picking up the delivery box. It felt like only one or two books were inside. Yes the matching dust jackets are nice but the rest of the books are average quality. The paper is thin and not high or even decent quality. Volumes lightweight. Much better and higher quality sets of the LOTR available, e.g. the hardback illustrated editions. Very disappointed with this set. For such a high price I expected books of Folio Society quality etc. I attached a pic - take off the dust jacket and the books are identical to the hardcover set costing $45 on Amazon. Only purchase these if you think an extra $170 is worth it for dust jackets. Caveat emptor indeed.

Beautiful cover design! Looks like the pages are completely printed and not missing any information. I am in love it it!
