I kept having the same problem with every pill cutter I've bought. Many of my pills would get crushed instead of cut. I will probably buy another one of these because I can finally split a pill accurately, quickly and easily. Still cutting great months later. Once you get used to it... it's a piece of cake! Don't settle for less...buy something that's great.

At 55, I decided it was time to save my fingers and get a pill cutter. This is the third design I’ve tried and it’s the best one, IMO. All the others seem to cut off center or crush the pills. I feel it’s a bit overpriced for what it is. But, I’ve accepted that given how well it works. I think the two elements that make it work so well is the double-bladed cutter and the pill holder. It has yet to crush any pill and slices them cleanly, even the small pills.

Yes. This is very good for cutting ANY shaped pill exactly in half. The only bad part is that after you cut the pill it doesn't fall into a side holding area (little well) in the cutter because it doesn't have a space for that, you have to manually remove each cut pill, but this is easy on the hands so that part didn't bother me at all. It's good and helpful. It works just as well as the videos show here. I'm pleased.

Just arrived today. My prescription is 25 mg and I am to take only half - 12.5. That is a little pill to cut, has no "slit" line and has been ending up is some small pieces. I must admit this is challenging to place a small and oblong pill properly. Finally ended up using tweezers - yup and it worked. And if it was twisted just a little bit, when I moved the "security" piece, it straightened out. I did about 1/2 of the bottle - no mess, all just split - no slivers or dust. This thing is really a problem solver - small pill, split in 1/2, no split guideline in pill and it's works! So very pleased. I do recommend.

I had some thick pills that I needed to cut into quarters but none of the pill splitters in traditional stores had cutters that were able to split them. They were either too flimsy or the razor wasn’t sharp enough to fully split through without cracking the pill. A friend of mine who’s a nurse recommended this product to me & I can say even though it is *so expensive* it actually works. I didn’t have any cracking of pills & it’s easy to carry around. The pill center mechanism works but you’ll want to take your time anyway just to make sure it’s even. Love that it has a top & bottom razor to make sure it’s split from both sides. The only main caveat is that you have to put a lot of pressure pushing down on the top razor or else it will not work properly. Fingers on each side can work but using the palm to press down across the entire top is probably better. If you have dexterity or strength issues then you should have someone else help you for sure. Other than that I really can’t complain. It’s worth the cost than to lose pills that you can’t use due to them being split improperly.

I've been trying to find a pill cutter that works to cut a round pill in half which is not scored, and somewhat crumbly inside the outer shell. Sooo frustrating , I waste approximately half of the pills I cut, due to breakage, crumbles, and asymetrical cuts. This is the sixth pill cutter I have tried ...and it WORKS GREAT! Super easy to use, it holds the pill in place so it doesn't move when I cut it. I think the dual razor blades make a world of difference for the better. I Cut all 15 pills in half with ease and near perfection, and no crumbles! I obviously Highly recommend this product!

I bought one of these that works perfect for small pills, although it can take some practice and finesse to get it to cut a small pill into two equal halves. I bought a second, and this one just can't really work. No amount of finesse will get it to cut a pill into two *equal* halves... one is always much smaller than the other. So, there is variation in performance between units. I guess I got lucky for the first order? It would be nice to finally find a product that "just works" without having to adjust to a learning curve, AND "get lucky" with a unit that lines up correctly. I would gladly pay twice the price for a pill splitter that doesn't have these issues.

Does exactly what it says on the label. Pricey but everything else I've tried so far would create some kind on unique issue.

Fait le job , cependant pour les petits cachets, c’est vraiment très compliqué de les positionner correctement et de couper en 2 pieds en quatre. Et le coupe de pilule est vraiment très cher, mais c’est vrai qu’il fait très peu de miettes. Si on appuie assez fort pour couper en une seule fois.

I have peripheral neuropathy, so doing fiddly things with pills can be difficult. I have a cat who needs pills cut up and put into gelatin capsules before giving to him so he doesn't taste the meds, and I do them in bulk. I had been using a cheap cutter with a single blade and a hinge where you close it on the pill and it cuts it, but it did not hold the pill securely and even if the pill didn't move the hinge allowed some wiggle room, so the pills frequently didn't cut evenly, which means they sometimes didn't fit easily into the capsule or gave uneven dosing. This one cuts cleanly and evenly. Some of the pills he needs are so small that the centering/holding device doesn't quite hold them still, but the lid is transparent so you can see where the pill is and gently place the lid so the blade is centered on the pill, and once the blade is touching the pill it won't move and it splits well. It is easy to use even with my clumsy fingers. It is expensive but it is better than buying a cheap one that is unreliable. It also leaves a lot less pill dust than the cheap one, so less of the meds are lost in the cutting process.

As a working professional who needed to cut thousands of pills a week, this cutter serves very well for me. 1. It cuts accurately, and you can SEE what you are cutting. 2. There are some pills that are too small to be held in place, but as long as you cut it on a flat table there is no issues cutting it anyway. 3. there is much less breakage than other cutters 4. You can cut a large oblong tablet into quarters crosswise, not possible for other cutters. 5. Durable, every part serves its purpose and is easy to clean.
