Well I got this because the test strips are at a reasonable price unlike most other meters. The down side is I find the blue background makes it hard to read even when the "light" is on. I was also surprise to find that it came without a lance device. I called because I was having trouble setting it up and they were VERY nice and walked me through stuff and they also sent me a lancing device with a 10 pack of lancets. The lancet is ok and the needles are very thin. I test on my arm (I know they say to use fingers but for me it is either my arm or nothing so) and I had to set it rather high but it works. I had a One Touch Verio IO that I really like (I use an old lancet device I had since this meter is really only for finger testing. I called and talked to them about that and they said you could use it on the arm but it isn't as accurate) the Verio gives averages for 7, 30 and 90 days which I like - The Wave sense doesn't do that. Any way if you have trouble getting affordable test strips this is a good option and from what I have seen in the reviews it is also one of the most accurate meters.

In advertised test, this meter was more accurate using only test solution on ten strips than the other meters. I've always used the regular presto meter because of their unusual accuracy. Now with this new information on the Presto Pro which uses the regular testing strips as the other Presto meters, I will be using the Presto Pro meter. It's inexpensive and 50 strips are around $12.00.

1st 3 times I tried to use this ,came back with Err7. Cheap but not worth the money if it doesn't work.Revised: Replaced with fresh new batteries and now it doesn't work at all. Minue 2 stars for this piece of junk.

Gives high readings.
